Hi this is my very first ever post here, excited to have some insight.. Ok, so I have a really high tolerance to opiates (150mg Hydrocodone 1-2x daily or 120mg Percocet daily). I have these 75mcg Fentanyl patches.. I chewed a 25mcg patch about an hour ago to no avail.. (No noticed effect as of yet).. What in y'alls opinion would be a safe amount to chew to achieve a euphoric effect? I know this is a dangerous practice and have done quite a bit of research today.. really looking for someone with a similar tolerance to advise. Thank You.

There isn't much euphoria from Fentanyl.......its a great med for serious pain.

You already chewed up a 25mcg patch, so be careful with the 75mcg patch......try cutting it up in 4 pieces & chew a quarter yo see if it gets you where you want to be, or you can wear the patch as it's intended but I don't know if I would do that after chewing 25mcgs.

I know you have a 150mg tolerance to hydro but its not a massive tolerance by any means.

I wore a 75mcg patch last week for 24 hours and didnt feel anything. So, maybe just go 1/4 at a time? I thought that my tolerance was pretty up there.. you'd say I don't have a high tolerance then? I see people on here that take 30-40mg that think they have a high tolerance.. But, I guess I've never really had anyone to compare to in my life.. when I started the Hydros I could take 30-40mg and would get the same effect that I now get from taking 15 10/325's. I've also read that messing with these can increase my Hydro tolerance? Thanks for your help I wasnt expecting an answer so quickly..

I'll add I remember reading that the glue in the patch or something causes the liver to overproduce enzymes causing harm to the body because your body tries to digest the indigestible glue. Just a heads up

When in hospital recovering from surgery I found fentanyl to be an extremely useless painkiller, with no pleasant effects whatsoever. I was getting 30mcg every 5 minutes (the max allowed) and I'd have to do that constantly for like 1-2 hour to feel the slightest relief. Honestly, for me, it's far worse than low dose OTC codeine/paracetamol(acetaminophen) as a pain killer. Even ibuprofen provided me significantly more relief. I for some reason have a freakish natural tolerance to it (I've never abused opiates). Did make me sweat and ever so slightly drowsy, but that's about it. When I got switched from the fentanyl drip to oral oxycodone 10mg every 6 hours I experienced waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more relief. Oxycodone for me is extremely effective analgesic even at 1.25-2.5mg. I'd hate to abuse opiates to lose their pain killing properties, when you need em they can be life savers.
