Law & Order the original [insert TNT advertisement here] SVU and CI are also damn good, but can't quite top the original. Also a fan of the CSIs. Mmmmm crime dramas.

would the x-files count? - obviously it was crime related (fbi), but the actual basis of the show was somewhat different...anyway, in its day it was an amazing show.

aw and crime fridays.... forensic files, power, privledge and justice, fbi files..... they are all great imo, and have "the voice" the one that puts insomniacs to sleep

Maybe there should be a poll for local TV? here in Australia we get our own fair share of Crime/cop shows.... like Blue Heelers, older ones like Water Rats... Cop Shop, Skirts, Bluey, Homicde
