i am a recovering meth(ice) user and i never noticed that any one else around me had the same effects as me the next day coming down..

most of the time after bein up for 2-4 days and then coming down, almost everytime i would stand up i would completely fall out and drop were i was standin but was only unconcious for a few seconds

so my question is why am was doing this and is it normal or dangerous?

very low blood pressure....

be careful... i fainted one time, and i broke my nose, my right sinus cavity. it was very painful for a good 2 weeks...

i didnt use any drugs tho... i was just on my normal meds, which cause the same thing...

my friends that did speed would always experience this same thing...

very strange.

Possibly the user's heart has regressed. Making the smooth muscles weaker. Cocaine destroys heart tissue on contact i believe.

All those uppers over the years could have made you guy's heart weaker. Not pumping blood as efficiently. Since ice binges can last for a week Plus, there is a lot of physical neglect to the body.

My friend gets high anxiety on m-amph and it's relatives on doses that back in the day wasn't shit.

Loss of electrolytes and dehydration can cause these effects....

i dont actually fall when i stand but i feel so weak it winds to me walk up my stairs. I use ice and ya i think maybe were just de-hydrated , laking food and exhausted?? i dunno thats what i think is wrong with me when i wake up after a bing could be wrong tho lol

if i take a stim (and ive only used stims several times in my life, so i don't think it's heart damage) the next day or 3 i'll get the orthostatic hypotension too

stand up really slowly. you want to make sure your blood is distributing effectively

stims may not be for you if it gets worse. you could try slowly coming off the stims rather than just allowing yourself to crash. like if you take 40mg amphet, after 4h take 20, another 2-6hr take 10. something like that may help you re-adjust easier but i have no clue really

Your blood pressure was obviously low at this point in time, when your body had seriously been depleated... and there was no more meth to keep you going, either.

I'd say that maybe the severity and suddenness of the incidents that you describe are a bit out of the ordinary, but being up for 3-4 days on meth is plenty to cause your strangeness, for sure.

This is (to me) definitely your body reacting every way the same way to a certain abuse: staying up for days on meth. Try just doing to for 1 to 1.5 days and then sleeping, redosing maybe once (if at all) during that time, and see what happens... You still will get a bit of a crash I'm sure, but I imagine that it is nowhere near as intense as what you are describing.

If i'm on a binge that may last a couple, few days or what ever. I like to get a good meal in before and get a bit hydrated. Have noticed that it actually helps the buzz. It could be because of hating that lethargic feeling of losing all the muscle glycogen out of the muscles and liver.

A nice protein shake with a vitamin is good when i know the body is screaming for nutrients..lol

Is He/she taking the stims at high dose at once could do it. Especially if there is no blood sugar(s) in the blood can cause fainting.

Are you hypoglycemic or anything? I am a bit and have to have something in the stomach to fuel me. With both stims and trips for some odd reason.

There could be an underlying problem or condition that you are not aware of possibly. Taper up when starting to dose the stims.....just a thought.

no not that im aware of but i am anemic, do you kno if that would have any effect on whats happening?

i think it would. your blood is a little less efficient at carrying oxygen right? that combined with low blood pressure as a rebound effect from having high BP/HR for so long could definitely cause the fainting. what's happening is you stand up and the body takes a bit to catch up. your brain doesn't recieve the oxygen it needs

when i had this problem i'd stand up really slow and it'd be fine

i don't think it's necessarily sleep deprivation though that probably worsens it. i never stayed up a whole night on stims but it still happened

Sure sounds like orthostatic hypotension (which is a rapid BP drop with position changes). Like the other posters above said, try changing positions (lying to sitting, sitting to standing) VERRRY slowly and see if that helps how you feel...if it does, then the orthostatic hypotension may likely be the cause. Also, the anemia may be playing a role as well. Severe anemia will cause hypotension, which can cause syncope (fainting). If this keeps happening, I sincerely advise you see your doctor.

It happens to me too and I only take PEA with Selegiline (Deprenyl)...a cup of coffee usually helps.

It reminds me the time when I was prescribed Parnate. Whenever I got up from bed I almost fainted. The package insert lists orthostatic hypotension among the side effects. Now I know the name of that strange effect.

Trying to think. Low glycogen levels by prolonged high energy causing the glycogen levels to be depleted possibly cause low blood pressure..resulting in possible fainting?

Can low glycogen cause low blood pressure anyway?

Im experiencing this same thing, at a medically prescribed dose.

I get lightheaded, black out have collapsed once.

both times it happened parts of my body (head legs) would bounce up and down
