Fake OC 80's in South Jersey

Hello all, long time reader, first time poster.

I remember reading about this somewhere on here before, but, didnt find anything in a search. Anyways, I recently ran across a large quantity,of fake Oxycontin 80's. These were Perdue clones, color, weight, everything was identical, except of course, they had no OC in them!! I had suspected them as fake, after I railed 2 of them, and there was no taste in the drip, correction, railed one, and didn't believe it, so, tried teh other! The color on the coating was EXACT, the taste of the coating, was not! If anyone has ever smelled a crushed OC, it just has that, I dunno, smell to it, that same bitter taste smell you get in your nose and throat! Anyways, 80's usually go for <snip> around here, and these were going for <snip> depending on quantity, so, I guess I shoulda known. So, everyone around the Atlantic county/ Ocean county area, been on the lookout, if in doubt, taste the coating!!!

Huh, lol.

Perhaps these were stolen from a pharmacy. Most pharmacies (especially in crappy neighborhoods) keep fake OC80's on hand for pharmjackers.

I dunno about that, I in fact work in a pharmacy, and I have yet to see that, or hear it from a perdue rep's mouth. I have heard about it on the street, online, etc.. etc.. It is believeable, due to the fact of the almost perfect structure of these clones, who knows.

That's interesting. I never heard of anyone 'cloning' OC 80's..lol.. But i'm not putting it past anybody either. Just very strange. I have however heard of pharmacies keeping the fake OC80's on hand, but I didn't know how true that was either. Didn't really care either.. because I never have and never will plan on knocking off a pharmacy.. lol.
 
These flooded long island couple of months ago, look really similar to 80s

only real way is to taste them and i really doubt a dealer would do that


i heard that they might be from when purdue does double blind tests... they are the placebos


also they can be made with a really good pill press


i have lost a couple of hundred to these! be weary!!
 
I have had the pleasure of scoring these myself and the place I bought them in is about 300 miles away from any major metro area. The give away is how the coating comes off. Sorta' like latex house paint as it all comes off in one piece. Counterfeiting meds is BIG business. BBIIIGGGG business. A fake 80 is as good as a bunk 50 dollar bill and WAY easier to produce.

It is against FDA regs the U.C.C. for there to be separate pills that are manufactured with identical imprints but without identical ingredients. The DUMMY 80's are a myth. What would stop an unscrupulous pharm tech from substituting every 3rd real with a fake in some old ladies script??? That's just one of the many reasons why. This is a common belief and I can see how the explanation for them would be enough to convince people that they exist.
 
Actually you are wrong frank zito, Purdue Pharma does infact make Placebo OC's in all sizes. I know this because my brother works at Purdue, and I have disscussed OC with him numerous times, and this happened to come up in a disscussion with him after reading a article on DEA microgram, where OC 40's are recovered from someone and they tested them at the lab and found no active ingredients, so they contacted purdue and purdue explained that they do indeed make placebos's. So that is two seperate legit sources of information that they do indeed make placebo's. Peace

PLACEBO OXYCONTIN TABLETS IN BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Daytona Beach Crime Laboratory (Daytona Beach, Florida) recently received a large shipment (total net mass 31.6 grams, not counted) of apparent 40 milligram dosage Purdue Oxycontin tablets (photo not taken). The exhibit was submitted by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office (Brevard County is located to the immediate south of Daytona Beach). Analysis of a methanolic extract of two tablets by GC/MS, however, indicated no controlled substances. Subsequent discussions with Purdue confirmed that they produce placebo Oxycontin tablets. This was the first submission of such tablets to the laboratory.

taken from the September 2004 DEA microgram bulletin. just becuase some pharm techs have never heard of them does not mean they don't exist, and end up on the street.
 
Comprehension skills...Notice that I said DUMMY pills are a MYTH. Placebo pills are produced for trials and such. AFIAK the placebos DO NOT SHARE an identical imprint per FDA and U.C.C. Code. Note the article never went so far as to say that the tablets were indeed produced by Purdue, or weather or not they were FAKES.

I am extremely close friends with the following idiot in the following thread and I can assure you that He didn't receive inactive pills when He pulled this stunt.

I'm not saying that it's an IMPOSSIBILITY for PLACEBO O.C.'s to hit the street, but highly unlikely. Any bunk O.C. on the street is assuredly 99.9% counterfeit, not a batch of placebos diverted by a crooked research analyst looking to make a quick buck.
 
i have heard of this before, mainly with foreigns making bunk pills and shipping them to the us on a lot of these mail order script web sites

I remember reading your post about your buddy who robbed the pharmacy but you are way off on this one. Didn't that take place in a rural area in Montana or something? I would suspect that pharmacies in heavily populated areas with high crime rates are the only ones bothering with fake OC. Also, the article specifically mentions that Purdue admitted to producing placebo oxycontin...

I was looking on the webernets and came across an article on oxycodone abuse mainly about oxycontin. One of the things Purdue is trying to do and i quote:

"The company has initiated meetings with the U.S. attorneys in Maine and Virginia and has also met with the attorneys general of Virginia and Maryland, and numerous other law enforcement officers, to combat the problem of abuse and diversion of OxyContin -- even to the point of supplying these officers with placebo OxyContin tablets so that they could engage in "buy and bust" activities."

So whoever said that Purdue doesn't make placebo pills (which i believed at first because it just brings up alot of room for human errors) was wrong. The webpage I got this information at is: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/406808
 
The fakes are definitly out there...my friends went out to some shithole in philly they knew offf as a last resort because there was nothing around in burlington county lol so offf to phillly they went. they coppped some 80s got back home went to take the coating offf and it was diffficult which comes acrosss as odd because they loooked just like the real ones with 80/OC on the sides welll ones of them ignored that part and smashed it up, jacked it nd gave it 10mins to get a drip and he said it tasted like soap and sure enough they alll came to the conclusion that they got burnt....SUCKSS

but yesss fake 80s are about and this was in march/april?
 
Any idiot can press a pill. Where as a skilled chemist can make the compound to give the pills the desired effect.
 
Canadian Fakes

I live in Toronto and the only fake 80s around here say OC on them.. Now, I know in the states, all oxy's say OC on them, but here in Canada, they say CDN on one side and the dose of the other. So every time I go to buy some oxys and they say OC on them, I stay away. The only ones that are good up here, say CDN on them. I also noticed, the one time I did pick up the ones that says OC on them, that they were MUCH harder then the CDNs... Now, I dont know if all American oxy's are hard like that, but here in Canada, I use an x-acto knife to break them up, and it works perfectly. The OC fakes that I got, the same knife wouldnt even scratch them, nevermind break them up. I use a mortar and pestle to break up the Hydromorphs I get, and I had to use that to break up the OCs. Just thought Id add a Canadian side to this... Later

I recently read an article about fake CDN / 80's. beware
 
there in north jerzee too, i posted a thread where there coming from.. all coming from China they are sending these by the thousands all over ny and new england areas...this is pathetic and is fuckin up the market
 
I got burned on one of these in Philly 3 weeks ago as well. Looked like the real deal to me. I should have known something was up when he told me the price he would give it to me for, it was way below the usual rate for an 80.

On another note there are dudes in Philly selling 200mg Thorazine tabs trying to tell people they are "generic OC 80's." He tried selling me one and I looked at the pill and told him it wasn't OC, thats when he gave me the generic speach. I was like dude I don't think there is a generic OC so I looked up the pill ID #'s on my iphone to find out it was Thorazine 200's. Hmm, maybe I should have copped one so I could do the "Thorazine Shuffle" for a while lol.

Be careful out there, too much fake stuff between the OC's and the Xanny bars, they look very real.
