Some of the content of this post may be more appropriate for the psychedelics subforum, or even trip reports, but because my questions are specifically pertinent to MDMA, i felt I would get the best answers by posting here first. Mods, move if you see fit.
I have been curious about the potentiating effects of piracetam for some time now, and yesterday tried it in conjunction with LSD for the first time. I had been preloading for 3 days with 3.2g per day, and dosed similarly the day of the trip, 1-2hrs prior to dropping 3 hits of decently strong acid. My experience was very different from the other reports i have heard; I felt lucid to the point that it was very difficult to get drawn into the experience...I was TOO in control and it was very difficult to let things go where they wanted. Visuals were attenuated, but music enhancement remained normal. I am pretty sure these effects were due to the piracetam--3 of us took the LSD with piracetam, and one of us without. The three who did all reported a similar experience, while the 4th had a more typical trip. We all agreed that the most noticeable effect was that at any given moment, it was surprisingly difficult to say whether or not we were tripping at all, in spite of some lower-level effects like giggling, etc. Point of fact, it basically made acid into much more of a 'party drug' than anything else.
SO, my question: I was planning on preloading with piracetam prior to an event in september, but rolling (or possibly candyflipping) at this event. I would be interested in hearing experienced users weigh in as to whether or not this might enhance or dull the experience--obviously LSD and MDMA are rather different substances, but I was pretty disappointed by this trip, and would hate to have a similar experience where my roll just won't 'get off the ground' so to speak. Those of you who report a more clear-headed roll on piracetam, do you feel this inhibits you getting caught up in the experience?
