Yes, be LIKE Buddha and receive knowledge from within. But not Buddhism. There are unlmited belief-systems similar to that but it still involved taking someone's word for it.

Knowledge from 'within' is dangerous. It has caused more daths, more pain, more oppression and fear than any other single cause ever.

That's low-consciousness knowledge. High-consciousness knowledge would only improve the world if it's not abused by the outside. Jesus tried to improve the world, it didn't work out quite how he imagined, but it wasn't his fault. You might as well say all knowledge is dangerous.
