Please forgive me if this doesn't belong in TDS, I figured it would given the nature....
I am coming to terms with my opiate addiction and reading this book has helped me tremendously. It's called "Willpower's Not Enough" by Arnold Washton and Donna Boundy. Despite the title, it has nothing to do with religion or some whacked out spiritual stuff. It's real and, for me at least, helped me get to the root of things. Alot of "A ha!" moments.
It talks about the roots and sort of provided a "map" of cause and effect.
I'm not a huge fan of "Self-help" as I find most of the books are one-sided, limited experience affairs (or even worse- have some sort of "Agenda" behind them).
Just thought I'd post it. I'm sure many of us have been down the "self help" road before with little success so that made this book even more significant to me.
