with no skills 'kewl' in the freak/hippie/indie/punk sense..despair ensues. Quarter-life crises? 'All part of growing up'? Socio-economic reasons(couldn't afford the luxury of an art degree, never grew up with the comfortable affluence of middle-class [so riches were never 'despised' as rich-daddies-boy-turned-hippie tends to do] now self-taught ICT professional)?

How did/are you deal(ing) with it? Discuss.

I certainly did not come from a rich family, my parents are hippies and encouraged me to go to college. I got a very expensive art degree but I did what was necessary to get it. I'll be paying for it for some time, but I think education is worth it. If you dont make a lot of money you should be available to federal loans.

I had to put myself in debt, but know I am able to work in a career path while doing my own work on the side. Like axl said, you gotta do what it takes. It isnt easy.

Oh I'm not against education at all. In fact I'm doing a master part-time while working. In my part of the world federal funding is not easily available for education.

i don't see what the problem is? if you still wanted to be a squatter you would be. if you still wanted in that scene you'd be there, and you obviously don't.

what skills are 'kewl' in the punk scene besides getting fucking wasted and breaking shit? sewing?

Juggling obviously.
