Anyone else is hooked? ;D
This is the only MMORPG I keep playing these days.. I used to be in World of Warcraft when I had no weed, haha. Started playing EVE while working and sobering up during the summer.
Flying Amarr interceptors currently :)
Such a cool game. The economics. The Galaxy. The options. Plus I love sci-fi...

I was hooked for a while, tempted to get back into it but can't spare the bandwidth to redownload it at the moment. I love the concept of EVE, and how it's just so different. I flew... something, I can't remember now, with a massive mining company and basically protected the,. back in the day. This is making me want to start playing again :p

Edit: Activated my account with the 5 free days offer, I'm back in the game :D

dang didn't i make a thread about this a few months back? HMMMMM i guess not. i was addicted but the time commitment makes it too much like a second job so i had to let my account lapse.

the idea of epic warfare in space is totally awesome until you realize it takes hours sometimes days just to run logistics and is insanely costly. most of the people in my old corp had more than one subscription so they could run more than one instance of the game and do the job of two or three players at once. even though they were making billions of isk doing that it still didn't cover the cost of plex for all the toons so fuck... what's the point of it all. obviously i could never keep up like that with just one character and like hell i'm spending more money just to get more involved when i dont even have the time for it :!

Bumping this thread, because I am decently hooked to Eve Online. I enjoy it mostly because it is the only game where I can continually progress even when I have like 5 minutes per day to play, and on days when I have free time, I can easily sit down and play it for 3-4 hours. I love the community as well, and the absolute cut-throatery of the community. Makes me feel right at home. :D Once I suicide-ganked someone with a Catalyst in a jump-clone, came back, looted about 100 million isk worth of salvage and mods (not that much, but hey it was fun) from the wreck, and became friends with him shortly after.

I can say I tried it and really wanted to like it and do respect the hell out of FFA Full loot games but I just didnt like the controls or the amount of math you needed to do sometimes. Id rather play a game like Darkfall which is more like The Elder Scrolls in mmo form. Too bad Aventurine is almost as bad as SoE, and the community is full of psychophaths mostly imo. But if you can get in with a good clan it is fun. But thats true for eve too, and eve's economy is def more complex.
