evans was found dead in his apartment on a Friday afternoon during Fourth of July weekend in 2003. His first name was Derek and he lived near Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. Not much more is known about the circumstances of his death other than what was reported at the time.
Going by posts he made at Bluelight, evans was 23 or 24 years old at the time of his death. He enjoyed music and going to local events. His friends called him "Captain K" because of the amount of ketamine he used. In the drug forums, evans tried to help others by giving advice and warning people to examine their own behavior. On multiple occasions he posted about using harm reduction techniques to try to minimize the danger or damage from drugs.
