Benzos Etizolam withdrawal after short-term use?

I've been taking Etizolam 1 mg per day for about 2-3 weeks. Is this enough to produce any kind of withdrawal? Lately I seem to get more anxious towards the evenings, around when I would normally take it. Of course if I take 1 mg I feel fine, but that's what it does. However I've also increased the dose of an antidepressant this week so maybe that's contributing, but I don't remember it having that effect last time I changed doses.

I could only find information about withdrawals from people taking astronomical doses, not low doses like this. But would this dose ever produce withdrawals, even with a long time frame? It is still effective at 1 mg. Thanks.

ive taken similar small doses as u describe and i noticed very little withdrawal..i had a harder time sleeping but thats natural for me so..your mind can build withdrawals up to be something more than they are..

For the past month or so I've been taking 1.5-2.5mgs(ususaly 2 mgs) of etizolam at a three days on 2-3 days off basis and I definately feel withdrawals were waiting around the corner. So to be cautious I went 4 days with no etizolam and I did experience minor withdrawals after such short use, albeit they were kinda mild.

Day 1 was a feeling of being tense and on edge followed by a night time panic attack with very little sleep that night and racing thoughts, day 2 was a milder version of day 1 with a little less insomnia, day 3 was no real anxiety but still trouble sleeping and by day 4 I was back to normal. I'm not sure if this was a mild withdrawal or rebound effects (how long do rebound effects last?) but whatever it was it really made me question whether etizolam is really as non addictive compared to other benzos like others think.

I don't doubt that etizolam withdrawal is probably less intense than something like xanax but from what I hear is that it usually takes around a month of daily use (which I wasn't doing consistently) to build an addiction to a real benzo while my month of on and off etizolam use triggered mild withdrawals. Based on this I wouldn't doubt your starting mild dependancy. I reccomend getting by on as little a dose as possible and keep cutting that dose until your clean, then take a weeks break and resume taking the etiz only 2-3 times a week as opposed to every day, benzo withdrawals are no joke. Since you have only been on it for a few weeks the withdrawals/rebound effects should be done in no longer than a week of complete abstinance. Benzos IMO are not something to take every day but something to use when you really need em. Like I said we could just be experiencing rebound effects but I'd hate to think that my body is already becoming dependant on the doses I've been taking. Just food for thought.

Everyone reacts differently, iv been taking 12mg+ everyday from morning to night for the past 3 weeks, this is my first day off feel fine going to go out and have a meal, last dose was 6mg way over 16 hours ago

^ Exactly. I would suggest not reading too much about etizolam withdrawals because you are just going to psych yourself out and make things worse than they normally would be.

thank you for posting this, i was thinking this to myself and when i read your post I felt this rush of anxiety relief. honestly i have soo much etizolam in my inventory and have only been using it for 2-3 months but at very low doses 1-2 mg per day sometimes just .5 mg... but I'm officially quitting. Not interested in finding myself in a situation where I need to tapper down when I have so much else to worry about.

anyways thanks again.

Forgot my old user account so I had to make a new one, but just wanted to let you know my experience as well. I kept my doses under 2mg/day for about 3 months, then the last week I simply cut my dose to .25, which worked just fine for me. Anytime I freaked myself out worrying about having cut off too fast, I'd take a small dose of phenibut, if even for placebo effect. Of course, I don't recommend replacing one habit with another, but I don't get much from phenibut so I stopped using that the following week very easily. I think you'll be just fine with only a few weeks under your belt. Good on you for stopping early.
