Would i be able to cycle these two substances without cross tolerance and addiction? I have really bad GAD and SAD which can sometime make life pretty stressfull and depressing. I find both these drugs are great at what they do and nothing more, relieve my anxiety. I would like to alternate between taking the two such as etizolam for 3 days and phenibut for 3 days rinse, wash, repeat. Would i run into any problems with this schedule? Im aware of both substances addiction potentials, (especially phenibut) but tbh i don't really find em very recreational, only benefit i get from them besides anxiety relief is potentiation of my daily kratom intake. For that reason i keep my doses low, 1 gram of phenibut or 1-2 mgs etizolam. Correct me if im wrong but etiz works on gaba-a and phenibut gaba-b so there should be no problems but im not exactly too sharp with the pharmacology of these two substances so second opinions are always comforting =D

Hmm, dunno. I take 500mg phenibut once a week and 2mg etiz twice a week. I've not noticed any probs. Phenibut has always maintained its amazing quality at 500mg once a week. It may sound like a lower end dose but if I go above that I start to feel sick. Problem with your 3 times a week phen, that's just too much, imho.

But nahh, I've been doing this for months and never had any probs. Phenibut, to me, is a wonder drug par excellence :) Etiz just gives me a good night's kip :)

Great idea for a thread; it's an answer I need as well. I've been cycling high-dose phenibut 3 days on, and etizolam 3 days on- some times mixing the two.

It's not so much the tolerance I worry about, it's having a poly drug dependence that worries me. (Especialy gaba-genic drugs).

Exactly, the point of alternating is to prevent addiction so it would suck if in the end i was setting myself up for poly addiction, gaba-ergics are something i would NEVER wish to be addicted too.

Yeah, the withdrawals sound fucking horrific, and that's from a long-term opiate addict.....
Funnily enough it's not the etiz I'm worried about, but the phenibut; I don't "abuse" the etiz, but I take massive doses of phenibut.
So, what I'm gonna do to solve this is stop phenibut dead and run a 5 day etiz taper; it's how they detox alcoholics, and it's perfectly safe.

Yeah same here, the etiz is the least of my worries but the phenibut.. I'm really woried bout that one, the withdrawals from phenibut seem to build VERY quickly and are horrendous, this especially very worrysome(sp?) Because I already have anxiety so i feel like gaba w/d would be a constant panic attack. I just wish phenibut wasn't so damn good at relieving my anxiety and that etizolam and phenibut swapped their pharmacological profile cuz i definately find phenibut superior. Every doctor I've talked to about my anxiety always wants to give me some bullshit antidepressant so I choose to self medicate, for that reason i don't want to end my use with these substances just yet because i can say that they've helped my quality of life out quite a bit so please, someone help me figure out a good way to work these two chemicals into my life with no withdrawal.

Considering phenibuts massive tolerance build-up over time (and I mean really massive), it would be practical to not be dependent on the stuff, but to use it sparingly. Of course, as a self-medicator with an addictive personality, this is easier said than done; if I find a med that works, I tend to rely on it.

Phenibut is a gaba-b antagonist, as is alcohol-it's common practice here to detox from alcohol with a gaba-a antagonist ie benzodiazepenes, and usually over a short-term taper. It seems logical to me to use a benzo to withdraw from the phenibut, but I'd have to have excellent self control.....

As you said though, etizolam is an easy drug to use sparingly imo it has lsss abuse potential than other options-it's not a "moreish" drug. You said the WD's from phenibut are horrendous; how would you describe them? (There is too little objective data on phenibut and addiction, that's kinda what's scary about it; I guess baclofen could be relevant here?)

Phenibut withdrawals are said to be nearly identical to ghb withdrawal which I've heard is extremely unpleasant. Symptoms include tremors, extreme anxiety, depression, depersonalization/derealization,delerium, insomnia...all the fun stuff which i would rather not go through. Its quite funny as a new thread was just started called "phenibut hell". Im sure he can answer your questions regarding phenibut withdrawal even better as the op is using up to 100grams a week!!! Hell must be an understatement.

I'll check that thread. (That's a LOT of phenibu!) I've started my detox btw; today, I took under half my regular dose, tomorrow I will only be using etizolam. I plan to start quite high, and take 20% less each day-a five day taper, possibly six. I believe it's safe to use it like this and I'll keep you posted how it goes.

BTW I took 3 grammes less than normal last night, and I felt very fucking anxious and managed just 4 hours restless sleep. (And this is after 3 days of use!). So yeah, I can't afford to be dependent on the shit; I'll let you know how my detox goes through pm.
