Stimulants Ephedrine

I know ephedrine isn't necessarily a recreational drug, but I haven't been fit in about 3 years and want to start boxing again. Seeing as it's quite similar in structure to amphetamines and methamphetamines, does anyone have any bad experiences with using MDMA recreationally whilst using ephedrine as a stimulant?

I'm a chemistry student and can't see any possible combination reactions of these drugs at a glance, however my pharmacology knowledge isn't very vast so obviously don't want to take any MDMA whilst using ephedrine in case of accumulative effects of the two drugs. Any advice would be appreciated
 
I wouldn't combine two stimulants like this simply because it could tax your heart and raise your BP, especially while working out. I really don't recommend it, but maybe it would be fine.
 
I wasn't thinking of combining the two on the same day for those reasons, even though wikipedia says that ephedrine is used clinically to treat hypotension.

I was mainly wondering if anyone knew about the half life of ephedrine metabolism? Like will not taking it for around 48 hours before taking MDMA have accumulative effects?
