Hello BLers, i have a problem and what better place to seek help than the bluelight forums. :D

I have problems expressing my thoughts into sentences, finding words and some memory problems.
I smoke weed occassionally and have taken some E in the past (with maximum harm reduction etc)

I'm wondering if this could be helped with diet and exercise etc because i can't take it anymore. I used to be able to write essays and write poetry but now i struggle with focusing on tasks and getting them done/forming sentences like i used to be able to in the past. Its very frustrating because i lack the motivation and energy that i used to have.

Ideas and tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading

Omega 3, Ginkgo, 5-HTP and Piracetam help with mental clarity. give them a try, they've worked well for me

I'm taking omega 3, gotta get my hands on some piracetam and ginko. What's a good source for piracetam? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on it. Some say its magic and others say its bs.

Omega 3 should definitely help (especially Cod Liver oil)

The most important thing is probably diet though. Try to stick to whole nutrient dense foods, avoid sugars and processed foods and trans fats, get lots of healthy fats (like animal fats, coconut oil, olive oil), eat a lot of fresh vegetables especially dark leafy greens.

What people call 'brain fog' is often a sign of candida overgrowth, so you may want to look into that (lots of info all over the net about it).

Ensure your omega 3 is molecularly-distilled, of a clean source and contains high levels of EPA and DHA.

All of the -racetams should be taken with a choline donator which could be Soy Lecithin, or better yet, Alpha-GPC, a natural compound found in the brain and milk which in itself is a rather effective cognitive enhancer. It's actually derived from Soy Lecithin, but shows promise.

Piracetam does indeed show promise for some and inefficacy for others...there's only one way for you to find out! I recall reading an anecdotal report claiming that it seems to be most effective for intuitive/thinking types.

None of us can give you a source for Piracetam, i'm afraid, but it really, really isn't difficult to find.

make yourself a somewhat small, accomplishable goal. then do it... then set your sights on something else, and get to that. one foot in front of the other.

SLOW DOWN. don't make it harder than it is. exercise is a powerful drug when it comes to motivation.

I just want to throw my 2 cents in the corner for doing things naturally before trying any "brain stimulants" which most likely cost WAY more money than they are worth. That's not to say taking vitamins aren't a good idea, but exercise/diet/meditation/moderating your drug use will do much more for you than "Ginko biloba" or piracetam ever will.

Thanks to all for amazing replies!
I'm going to start by getting back into the gym routine and eating healthier/not eating at night.
then onto the natural suppliments to see how they work for me.

You're all a great help :)

I would say your best bet is:

Omega-3 (clean, EPA/DHA-rich)
Piracetam w/ Alpha GPC
Ginseng tea, daily, 3-5g, 1-3 times or as needed.
EXERCISE - weight training has helped me get back on the ball big time
Clean diet - excess processed sugars, additives and shit can fog the mind considerably
Cold showers - this increases vitality and stimulates the mind tenfold. There is an instant effect, you will feel so awake and "with it" and the benefits are immense.
Meditation.
