EDM shows/festivals compared to EDM clubs?

im turning 21 next month (yay!) and i currently go to a ton of the 18+ events, shows, festivals, etc.. but theres one of the top nightclubs in my city (foundation nightclub in seattle, if anyone knows) and its 100% EDM music, so im really excited for that, they have pretty famous DJ's do shows there just about every weekend and im just wondering if the vibe there is gonna be the same as the festivals and shows i go to that are 18+? because at those shows 99% of the people are rolling, is it the same concept at clubs? or is the majority just drinking?
 
no it's not going to be the same. the crowd tends to be more mature but an all the good ways. while drug use will still be there, it won't be as apparent as in 18+ clubs. since alcohol is being served, not everyone will be on mdma but it will have a presence.
 
I would say the atmosphere at festivals is more "freeform". You can almost make your own atmosphere. Clubs can definitely be a good time, but it's a different experience (you'll still enjoy it if you like EDM and club is decent).
 
I dislike clubs if they're packed.
I need room to dance and packed clubs are not my style.
Festivals all the way, with outdoor festivals being hands down the best atmosphere to enjoy the music
 
Festivals/Warehouse parties > Clubs

clubs usually seem to have a more of a confined and restrictive environment and a less laid back attitude. clubs tend to be more "clique-y" as well and the people aren't usually as chill and open minded as the people I've met at festivals and warehouse parties. IMO it doesn't get any better than camping out at an outdoor festival for a weekend.
