Ecstacy and Diabetes

Hi folks, I have been trying to find out more about possible problems/dangers between ecstacy use and diabetes.
There were a few threads on the main board, but no answers were provided, I was maybe hoping some lovely Australian who doesn't venture to the main boards might have some knowledge.
Any side effects? Problems? Experiences?
I also posted on a diabetes newsgroup, but was attacked by rabid-antidrug-antithought-middle aged freaks (I'm not bitter
