First off I'd like to say hello to everyone as I am new here (posted in the new member forum as well) anyways I've been taking opiates DAILY for about a year now. Mainly hydro/oxycodone. And IME if I eat shortly after taking pills I almost completely lose my buzz! :X so I've gotten to the point of choosing my little happy pills over food (until the buzz wears off) first off why does that happen? And second. How can I change that?. Normally I just chew em up. my guess is IV,snorting and plugging (iv is a no no for me and i HATE snorting anything with APAP and for the plugging ive tried it once and it was good just not as convient as popping em) so is there anything else I could do? Any suggestions ?? Thanks guys

Taking opiates on an empty stomach will definitely yield a greater buzz. But with the percocets you can actually do a great deal of damage to your stomach when taking them without eating, the hydro not so much. Personally I've been addicted to hydro and us it IV. I would highly reccomend to NOT abuse your hydro as I've come to find out it will completely ruin your life, and withdrawals are seriously worse than hell coming off them. Seriously that short little buzz is not worth ruining your life over as I've personally come to find out the hard way but if you insist on getting more out of your Meds feel free to reply or private message me, I will instruct you as safetly as possible.

Also by hydro, I'm referring to hydromorophone I don't know if we are talking about the same drug here please specify.

Any ROA change will be accompanied by the same rise in tolerance and then you'll be back to the drawing board.

I've had great success with the rectal and intranasal ROA's, nothing compares to IV dilaudid but even (and especially) IV dilaudid loses it's magic FAST.

I always take my pain killers in the morning before eating, then about 15 minutes later I try to eat something and I take the rest of my vitamins and supplements.

But if I've eaten a huge meal and I'm really that worried about onset not being fast enough via the oral ROA, I turn to the rectal ROA.

edit: I can't tell if you're talking about hydromorphone or hydrocodone/APAP.... If we're talking about hydrocodone/APAP then you are definitely best off taking them orally or rectally or a combination thereof.

Sorry wrongturn but I think you were mislead. I don't have/get a script for pk's sadly haha but yeah I've been taking them daily for about a year by getting them from my dealer. Sadly I know all too well of the struggle with addiction. As well as the absolute hell of wd's. But I genuinely appreciate your concern and input thank you and also I was talking about hydrocodone and oxycodone with APAP as that's about all that's available in my area. with the occasional roxycodone available. As for hydromorphone I've only tried once and wow it was great haha half a opana 40 had me out of my mind.

I always used to pop my pills on a completely empty stomach to get fuuuuuuhed up faster and longer, but now I have a stomach ulcer and developing another one. So, now I eat at least 4 hours but no less then 2 before I pop. This definitely helps and still hits hard.

My girl and I were talking about this just earlier today. It seems that eating anything after taking any kind of opiate reduces or kind of dulls the high, but at the same time if you eat first, we've noticed the rush from shooting is weakened. We're still not sure what to do about this dilemma or which method would have the least negative effect on the severity of the high. Shit, maybe it's so nominal that it doesn't really matter. Who knows.
