My apartment came with the convenient feature of a non-fuctional oven, so I'm wondering: what is the easiest/best way to prepare edibles without baking?

PS. I don't have a microwave either... zOMG dem' GAMMA RAYS 8o

peanut butter I usually put a quartero of high grade into a small jar. just dont burn the peanut butter still gets you baked but tastes like shit. If you do it right a regular spoonful should get you pretty good

I need more specific instructions... specifically something I can cook on the stovetop.

check out my hash coffee thread. not only does it not require an oven, its one of the most effective ways to prep oral cannabis.=D

perhaps some good ol' cannabutter?

Melt butter, add weed grounds, simmer for a while, strain, refrigerate, add to bagel/bread/anything else butter makes awesome

that's what I was thinking, but how do you determine dosage? does the THC somehow spread evenly throughout the butter?

id use coconut oil before id use butter, butter takes a long time to break down in the stomach and thus you have to use more ganja to have the same effect as coconut oil. Better yet is glycerin. But honestly its just so easy to brew up some oily coffee in a bialette or french press and cook that on the stove for 15 min. plus it kicks in fast and breaks down in your stomach quickly.

Also you can always make just one dose at a time, but the actives should spread evenly throughout whatever you use to cook ur herb in.

Good luck man! :)

My absolute favorite consumable is rice crispy treats, They are super easy and get you really baked. A general rule of thumb is the higher the butter content the better the consumable will be. I like to use and Oz of weed per stick of butter when I can afford it. I grind the buds down to as fine a powder as I can get them, and simmer them with the butter on low heat for about 10 minutes.

strain the butter through some cheese cloth or pantyhose squeeze as much of the extra butter out of the cloth as you can.

Move the butter back to the stove top and add 6 cups of marshmellows stir until they are melted, then ad 8 cups of Rice crispies. Stir until they are coated add to a sheet pan or something similar lined with foil and spread them so they are about 1/2in thick.

I usually cut them into 3x3 squares and one will melt me into the couch pretty good. Total cooking time shouldn't take you over 30 minutes.

Go have fun with that... lol

And if someone has a better way to make the butter by all means please share, I'm always down to learn new things.. lol

grind up herb into teaspoon, pour oil into teaspoon, cook up with lighter, filter and mix into something cool

Easier: just boil the weed in milk or soymilk for about 15 minutes.
About 1 gram per person should provide a strong high that lasts from many hours to a whole day, depending on personal sensitivity, tolerance, etc.

This actually works?

I had nearly no success when doing this with chocolate milk (whole milk) and even with a bit of butter in it.

I strained the cannabis out and still didn't get much out of it at all, I rather have smoked it. It was mildly sedative, nothing like proper edibles.

@ chainer- yes that technique should work. Did you cook it for at least 15min at slow rolling boil? You may not have used enough herb/hash in ur prep. Really animal fats like butter and milk are not very ideal for absorbing cannabinoids, if you have to use an animal fat try ghee (clarified butter) but really plant oils will be best, particularly coconut oil.
