E in the movies

I don't recall ever seeing a movie that portrayed someone on E. Or if I did see the movie, I apparently didn't notice the E use.

Surely there have been movies made that at some point in the movie it portrayed E use.

So what movies? The movie doesn't need to be about drug use. Just somewhere in the movie there was someone on E. And did they portray the rolling accurately, or was it some BS rolling.
 
I can think of a few movies which portray MDMA use.

The most obvious one is Human Traffic (a weekend in the life of a bunch of British ravers). Very funny, very accurate. Good soundtrack. Recommended.

There are others, but I haven't seen 'em so I won't comment.
 
Here's an IMDB keyword search on ecstasy (not perfect, note that it doesn't include Human Traffic, which is basically completely about ecstasy).

hmmm... I actually have Bad Boys II on DVD- never noticed it. Going to have to revisit that one.

Layer Cake is such a great movie :)


I cant think of the titles but im sure ive seen at least 10 movies were they pop into a rave and everyone is on "E" or someone takes "E" or "E" is being sold.
 
layer cake is a good movie based on ecstasy and cocaine, and human traffic is a great movie too that is all about drugs, mainly ecstasy.
 
it's a bit redundent by now, but Human Traffic is an awesome flick. Highly recommend it.
 
its actually formula 54.....

oh yah and the main character gets dosed with e in The Girl Next Door.
 
I think it would be really great if we could turn this thread into some kind of a list - could people provide a bit more information about each film that they've mentioned? Rather than just saying "this film mentions E" - talk about the context and what happens :)
 
orange county (slipped to dean of admissions of a Ivy League school) and garden state (at a party, bunch of people drop e and play spin the bottle) off the top of head.. not too proud to say I've watched either of em

The thing is it's not actually "based" on e and cocaine, it's more about the distribution. They could have used another drug and it wouldn't have changed the movie all that much.

+1 to Human Traffic, it's is a must see. I can relate to alot of things in the movie.
