ive been looking into DXM to lower my tolerance

I saw on this sight 70mg a day

would it be safe to take 70 mg a day for like a week?

looked on forums count find anything

yea I think it would be fine from a health perspective just make sure dxm is only ingrediant in the cough syrup or wherever your getting it from

What drug are you trying to lower your tolerance to?

If it's opiates please update to let us know the results as i am very interested in doing this experiment myself as my morphine & codeine tolerance could do with being lowered.

This is not going to lower your tolerance! It will "sweep" off the receptors. However, it is un-founded that it can actually "lower" your tolerance in the long term.

Please be careful. DXM is still being studied. We are currently looking into it's long term effects and harm reduction for recreational uses. CAREFUL! *To summarize, it will only "clean off" the mu-receptors. It will not get rid of them at all... Once you have a receptor, it is therefor life. It will remain empty until it is stimulated with an opiate... Be safe...

You're perfectly safe in these amounts but as was said, this won't reverse your tolerance. If you search around, you'll see that many of us have tried this in even larger doses and for extended periods without success. It MAY insubstantially slow down tolerance acquisition but don't expect any perceptible diminishment of your tolerance.

Exactly.

A good way to increase your opiate high, which I am guessing you want to do; is to add a potentiator: Benedryl, Qunine, DXM (as stated), or just plain and simple, more of the opiate. The "ceiling" we refer to is DEATH.

Listen to your body, what works for one may kill another... Be safe.

Take a week off from opiates, THAT shoudl lower yoru tolerance a bit so when you get high again you won't need as much. Although easier said than done, for us addicts, heh.

it works for me, but not like i get any higher, i just don't really increase my doses. i've actually lowered the amount i need to take to "feel" benzos, amps, and opiates with time + NMDA-antagonists, but by time i am talking by months, and NOT mere days or even weeks...

memantine is ideal, but low doses of DXM (30-90mgs) will provide decent results..don't expect anything magical or mind-bl0wing though....

it was opiates but i have to take it for my chronic pain and i tried 70 mg when i posted it and i got a headache for 2 days stright from the DXM
