I'm sure many of you have come across this problem, ive been a heroin user for a while and this problem has been on and off for me and right now its on. The skin on my face gets so dry that it starts to peel and flake, really gross looking and no matter how much moisterizer, lotion whatever i put on it it dosnt go away, could this be solved by drinking more water maybe? i really dont know, anything that has worked for anyone else would be a great help, thankss!

^ yeh I'd address your diet first before spending a fortune on moisturisers etc. As you mentioned it could possibly be from dehydration or perhaps a vitamin deficiency? Maybe consider a multivitamin with zinc, magnesium etc and fish oil capsules?

Try washing less frequently and gradually using less lotion--When you use a lot of lotion, eventually your skin gets used to it and quits making its own moisture. Washing your face less frequently will also help to not dry it out so much. Have you tried switching soaps and using less of it / washing less frequently?

And drinking more water never hurt anyone, so by all means, try that. :)

Keep us posted on how things are going. :) It may take awhile to see any changes, esp. if it was due to the excess lotion. I say give it at least a month before maybe adding supplementation to your diet if you cannot eat well. (Nutrients should always be obtained from whole foods when possible.)
