Harm Reduction Drugs not worth injecting

I'm relatively new here, but I've seen a lot of people asking if they can I.V this or that. I've been cursed with needle fever the last three years, so anything that I can get in a syringe, I've tried to shoot. Although I.V works great for drugs like heroin, coke, meth etc... I've found that their are some where it's pretty much pointless. Here are a few:

-generic adderall, 10 mg, dextroamphetamine
-xanax, klonopin, ativan
-buprenorphine

I'm just interested in other peoples findings, and I think it could be helpful, because there are a lot of us out there (unfortunately) that will try to shoot up anything under the sun. Maybe this could help save a few doctor visits, or more likely, just not waste drugs or veins.

Can I ask why in gods name you decided to iv promethazine?

Oh and thread creator, Cpt H is gonna come knocking down your door for saying bupe is worthless IVing. lol

I think its worthless to iv any benzo, and any OTC drug, and any stimulant.

yea actually, I should have put down suboxone, I havn't tried I.V subutex or any other form of bupe. In my oppinion, shooting suboxone isn't that great. It doesn't kick in any faster than sniffing it in my experience. The only upside I find is that I don't have to deal with that powder, though a little discomfort is better then what can happen with shooting.

The worst pill experience I've had was trying to I.V, Clonazapam. I felt like I was going to stroke.

Adderall is not meant to be IV'd, it's racemic amphetamine too, not completely dextroamphetamine, like Dexedrine or Vyvanse.

Alprazolam, clonazepam, and lorazepam aren't water soluble enough on their own.

Buprenorphine is only worth IVing for people with a small/zero opiate tolerance. It's not worth IVing for people with a large opiate tolerance.

IV MDMA and IV MDA are very much so worth it; though IV MDA is a better psychedelic experience IMO. I'm not talking about rolls either (especially rolls without MD_ compounds in them), crystal/powder MDA or MDMA.
 
what?! IV MDMA? That sounds like a horrible experience. its bad enough just eating the damn things.. lol ever sense i had my first opioid experience I totally wrote off all stimulants... but then again i never really liked drugs like coke and mdma and adderall to begin with...ahh it gives me a stomach ache just thinking about those drugs!

If it's any consolation, the rolls you ate probably had no MDMA in them. MDMA is not very "stimulant" -like.

I would only really say IV MDA is worth it because that's what I've tried. I've heard at least two experienced people say IV MDMA was wonderful, and I don't doubt them at all (since they had pure MDMA).

I don't think IV MDA is for everyone; it's a very intense psychedelic experience and it's not something that would be easily tolerated by people who find mushrooms or acid to be difficult to experience.
 
The list of drugs worth IVing is probably a lot shorter and easier to read then attempting to list everything not worth IVing, as I can think of a long list of substances I would never want to hit my veins....

Here's just a short list off the top of my head,

Best-
Heroin, Morphine, Dilaudid, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Midazolam, Oxymorphone, Methylphenidate, Ketamine, Fentanyl(But beware as this is super dangerous outside of a hospital)

Decent-
MDMA, MDA, Buprenorphine, (The following benzos when prepared properly- Temazepam, Diazepam, Lorazepam), Oxycodone

I agree with most of what you have stated here, except I'm someone who would not enjoy MPH at all. IV cocaine is also really not "worth" shooting to me, personally. I would prefer to IM K over IVing it (though IVing it is still "worth it").

Temazepam has a close to 100% oral BA as is, I wouldn't want a shorter temazepam experience as it is orally. So I also wouldn't ever bother IVing it.

Also, IV MDA is the best psychedelic experience I have had to date. I can understand it's too intense for some people, but I think of it as perfect. %)

I always thought i.v ritalin was garbage. Plus most of the pills have a nasty ass filler that will kill you.

I wouln't say any benzo is bad foR i.v. As long as a micron filter is used, i.v midazolam is great.
 
In the interest of Harm Reduction, I think a list of substances that are dangerous/not worth injecting would be a good idea. Is there already something like this around, not buried in a mega thread or anything? I think this could potentially save some lives, or at least some veins!

The problem is, what's "worth it" to one person isn't going to be "worth it" to another.

Some people don't think anything is worth IVing...so really it's not exactly a science of what's "worth" it or not.

We often advise people only IV from ampules, pure and sterile drugs, or use micron filters. Anything less than that isn't "worth" it for people who are interested in their health.

There's no one easy way to go about it other than discuss what is "worth" it for you. I don't even know if this really fits in Other Drugs either, this might be a better topic for Drug Culture.
