Drugs and Seasons

Does anybody else prefer doing certain drugs in certain seasons?

I like smoking weed in the Autumn compared to any other season. That cool hoodie weather, school is back in session, and I seem to enjoy it more after a wild summer of anything goes.

For opiates, I like doing them in the winter. I guess there just isn't much else to do in the winter, so opiates can keep you warm, and feeling good.

I like psychedelics in the spring. It's a good way to prioritize for the summer.

Which leads me to my next drug season.... Benzos in the summer. There's so much time to waste, and benzos are great for that.

So what are some of your preferences for drugs in certain seasons, and what are the reasons?

totally agree man. winter is for opiates so i can be warm and fuzzy, stimulants for sunshine and hot weather so i can go, go, go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Psychedelics any season. Shrooming with snow on the ground is super fun as long as you bundle up before hand.

I've never heard of prioritizing drug use to the seasons, but I guess I sub consciously have thought about this because I would say: summer is coming up time to prepare for a trip, psychonauts! I've never been a against using a substance based on the season, but I do love long sunshine filled days while on psychedelics. :)

- dope and liquor for winter, watching the snow fall softly in that fuzzy embrace
- for spring.. generally nothing after a winter of dope and liquor geez
- psychedelics for summer; tripping the day and night away and being able to fully enjoy the outdoors without having to worry about reminding myself to bundle up or put on that raincoat
- mary jane for autumn, a time to reflect in front of the campfire and envy the future from a point in the distant past

Interesting thread tommyboy...I think opiates are best in winter too, pot is especially good in spring and fall, alcohol (only in the form of cold beer) is nice in the summer (with some coke thrown in too), and well benzos are a year-round item.

Actually, pot is a year-round item as well, I think it's a good helper for enjoying the "change" seasons too.

I always end up doing opioids more often during the summer, just because I'm usually traveling/on vacation and have the free time. I end up using d-amp (and other stimulants) much more during the school year, naturally.

I'm actually starting to try to think about the year in terms of January - December, since I'm so stuck on the "school year" after doing it for so long...I had to try not to think about it when writing that post, since it's odd not to know a hoodie-seasoned fall will be spent on a college campus this time.

It's interesting how a lot of us seem to associate the drugs we use with not only the generic "seasons" but with "school" factored in as well.

I bet that is an odd change!! School pretty much determines my life and schedule, so any recreational use has to be fit around it. I don't use amps recreationally but they can definitely be useful for all-nighters (especially when it turns into a couple days worth of all-nighters!! :|)

opiates for autumn so im not pissed i have to go back to college
opiates for winter so i dont freeze and get depressed by the darkness (where i live the winters are very harsh and bleak)
opiates for spring so i love nature and feel connected to it
opiates for summer so i dont sweat a puddle every night when i try to sleep

^ I sweat like crazy on opiates in the summer. That's why I "prefer" to take them in the winter.

^Opioids make me feel warm as well. I'm always taking the air conditioning down to like 62 degrees when I get high!

LOL i liked what you said and i couldn't agree more. my name IS SUMMER!! and i never had a bad high in the summer, i esp. likd opiates, as i get jazzed and energetic! love going out on the boaat, riding motorcycles or horses, it's all way more fun with opiates. the only difference about winter is that i love ativan and a few glasses (bottle) of good red wne, preferably cabernet.

I like this thread.

winter: opiates, benzos, alcohol
spring: opiates, amphetamines, benzos, alcohol, weed, psychedelics, cannabis
summer: amphetamines, cannabis, opiates, benzos, psychedelics, alcohol
fall: opiates, benzos, alcohol, lots of cannabis

I would put psychedelics higher on the list for the summer but 105 degree/90% humidity southern summer doesn't always work with LSD ;)

Beer works year round. I think a lot of it has to do with the different brews, like how Sam Adams has Octoberfest, and Winter Lager, Summer Ale, etc.

Then there are different wines that are made at different times of the year, and different cocktails for different seasons as well. I pretty much never buy Corona in any season other than the summer.

autumn: psychadelics, mdma,
winter: liquor, coke
spring: weed n beer
summer: shit a little of everything but its always fun to roll during the summer and get super drunk. Being new to psychadelics i've never tripped during the summer but I want to get some shrooms in a couple months!

weed and beer all year round too

And nobody's mentioned a season for disassociatives yet.
