Driving after LSD trip *plz help*

Hello i just had a question that has been bothering me for awhile

I have tried lsd around maybe 8 times, and have had all positive expieriences.

The thing is, I havent in about a year, and I have an event coming up on the 26th that is going to be from 2 pm to 2am, and I plan on taking 2 tabs as soon as I walk in.

Generally my LSD trips have lasted about 8-10 hours, but I feel a little still bit of an aftergloom for about 2 hours ago.

My question is, I plan on driving after this party, and want to know if I will be able to drive after the 12 hours. I plan on dropping right when I come in, but want to know I will be safe without having to worry about being pulled over after. If someone can lend me some advice or thoughts I would appreciate it. Thanks.
 
If you think that you are safe, and not putting the lives of your passengers in harms way, then I would say that it is fine.

Of course, for the sake of harm reduction, I must say that I would rather have you designate a sober driver :)
 
If you are questioning you're ability to drive as it is, I would say don't do it but you know yourself more than anyone else so we shouldn't be able to tell you what you're capable of...

On theother hand if all you are worried about is being pulledover, then don't worry about. As far as I know there is no country that tests fir LSD, you should be dine provided youhavent downed some meth or pot or whatever else they actually test for in your country. Here in aus it's only pot, meth and mdxx. No coke, smack or pcp (probably because it is virtually non existant)
 
Well, in the US of A, they test for what's called the SAMHSA 5, which is cannabis, cocaine (crack or otherwise), amphetamines, MDMA, PCP, and opium, but those are urine tests. They can test for LSD, but it's rare.

Just...be sure to drive carefully. Although having a designated driver is the best idea.
 
I normally feel a little off until I sleep after an acid trip. I would probably be able to drive alright. Never done it, and may never risk it myself..
 
I've done it after low dose 'cid maybe 6h+ after ingestion but i drove slow, and pulled over several times to collect my self. Now this was not full on tripping, only mild visual distortion and it was not a huge drive(maybe 10km). I'd probably do it again but only if i had to.

YMMV. I'd imagine you'd be sober enough to drive after 12h but its always better to to be safe than sorry.
 
One of my friends once drove me and another friend home 6 hours into a LSD trip.

It was actually our first time and he thought he was back to near-baseline (typical beginner). Only the cid peaked again while we were driving through a rich neighborhood. It seems all 3 of us started peaking again at the same time in the car. But he was driving SUPER SLOW (the car was probably moving suspiciously slow in the sober reality) The ride was truly fantastic but VERY irresponsible as we were all pretty much in Lucy land still.

Putting gas in was also very confusing. I was assigned with the task to go inside and pay; it was somewhat like that scene in Fear & Loathing where Raoul Duke walks up to the hotel desk and tries to get the keys to the room he has reserved, and the woman's neck is breathing in a lizard-like fashion. Only this time it was a greasy teenager and his pimples were literally floating on his pasty white face. When he spoke and his voice cracked and he had braces, I turned around in a grotesque and unsuccessful attempt to suppress a burst of laughter, because the guy looked exactly (at that time) like the zit-faced teen in The Simpsons.

We were young and stupid but.... good memories.

You'll probably be able to drive at 2AM if you eat LSD at 2PM. Make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before, though, the main concern at that point is probably going to be wakefulness.

Important question: how long will you be driving on your way home?
 
12 hours after dosing, you will probably be fine to drive. I'd say being worn out from a tiring day of tripping (I dunno about you but acid seems to wear me out physically as well as mentally) would be a bigger worry than residual visual distortions.

If it were me, I would go along with it but do my best to find a friend who was also going and could could drive me home in a pinch, or at least program the number for a 24 hour cab service in my phone. You probably wouldn't need it, but of course you don't want to find out when you're there with your car and no other way to get home at 2am that you don't feel up to driving. As annoying as it is to leave your car somewhere, if that's what needs to happen to keep you safe then it's absolutely worth the hassle.
