I currently have no way of getting opiates and, while I'm not physically addicted to them, I miss the high and the feeling I get when I drink Tussionex or take Vicodin pills. I've been hearing a lot of things about poppy seed tea lately, some amazing and some awful. I've been wanting to try it with seeds bought in bulk from the local health food store, to see if it works or has any effect... but because of school and activities and stuff I can either do it within the next few days, or not until like 2 weeks from now. The problem is... I've come down with a pretty bad cold, like with a sore throat, congestion, fatigue, etc. I'm wondering if this means I should hold off on making poppy seed tea for the first time, or if I should still try it regardless.
Pros of doing it while sick:
-Could it work like a cough suppressant/cold medicine?
-My roommates, who don't approve of my drug use, already know I'm sick... So if I have a bad reaction to it and need to stay in bed for a while or even throw up or something, I could just say it's connected to the virus I have.
-Being high would make me feel better
Cons of doing it while sick:
-Could this be more harmful than doing it while healthy? Putting extra stress on my body while I'm already fighting off a virus?
Also...
Any tips/recipes/experiences anyone has had with poppy seed tea in general?
