Hey Fellow Lighters,

I may have placed the original post in the wrong place so there for I would like to place a link and or a copy of it here. If duplicating a thread is against the guidelines, Mod's please feel free to close which ever one may be in the wrong place.

The original text is as follows, though slightly modified;

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good website (preferably free) that is an excellent resource for understanding dreams or dream interpretation. One thing that is important to me, and I apologize if this offends anyone, is that is not be a religious site or one that interprets your dreams based on god or religion. I am agnostic and I do not have a belief when it comes to that and I don't believe in the Bible. Though I do not have anything negative to say about that and I respect anyone's belief on the topic, I just prefer it not to have any influence on the interpretation of my dreams.

I have been having some dreams lately in which I can not, until fully awake, determine if what is in the dream is reality or not, and I am sometimes awakening in a bit of a panic because of this. These dreams tend to be in part about past events that were very difficult times in my life and times I wish I would not be partially reliving in these dreams. This trend has been fairly new with no reason that I can tell for that to be happening. Meaning that there hasn't been anything new or traumatic that has happened that I would consider reason for my dreaming to have changed.

I have no money to purchase a book on the topic and the county library banned me when I was in my early teens for not having returned a book for like 3 years. When I did return it, they sent me a bill for like $75.00 which I never paid and got a notice that I was permanently banned from the library lol

If anyone can help me find a site, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a bunch!

Pain

Again I apologize for the duplication and please close which ever one may be in the wrong place. Though I am not sure there is a right place for this question, however, I know many of you are very good with this kind of thing and I appreciate any assistance you can share. Thanks!

i would have thought that you would be the best person to interpret your dreams given that you have all the information on what has seeped into your subconscious in your life.

although my dreams tend to be very simple to understand and are rarely abstract and symbolic in a cryptic way.

One would think that we would be able to interpret our dreams however, I find that not to be the case. For instance, in my dreams, they tend a lot of times to be very life like. I dream in full color, feeling, smells, all of it. I have heard that this is unusual. My dreams also tend to have me in the unbalanced, meaning that when I am walking in my dreams I always seem to move around like a drunk person and unable to catch my balance, yet, I haven't drank in over 5 years, and even when I did, I was not usually so lucid I couldn't keep myself up. I am also always dreaming of the things which hurt them most (mentally that is) such as lost loves, loneliness, etc... While I do understand the gist of what the dreams are generally trying to tell me, I don't understand why. There would seem to be some underlying reason that I am having them and that underlying reason is what I hope to learn by interpreting my dreams. There are also other things which I find in my dreams like a lot of recurrences, and my dreams rarely incorporate anyone that I know except for myself of course. So as you may or may not see, there are just a lot of odd things that I know that in books about dreams they try to help you parse the underlying meaning to these things. While I don't necessarily believe in all of that, there may be somethings that I may pick up on which may help me to see things a little differently or perhaps there are some unresolved issues that I need to work on that my dreams are trying to tell me about. Who knows, I just figured it would be worth it for me to try and understand. :)
