Dopamine HCL Inj., USP

Ok. so, i have strangely enough acquired a sealed bottle of Dopamine HCL. 800mg (80mg/mL). The bottle says 10 mL (single dose) CAUTION: must be diluted for IV use.
What on earth is this used for? The only thing i could think of was maybe to treat patients in shock?
Does it have any recreational value whatsoever? What would be the effects of injecting straight dopamine.

The biggest fear with most drugs is that they mess with a neurochemical i.e. dopamine. You're thinking about injecting pure dopamine in your system? That does not sound like a smart idea at all. However, if you must try it, be sure to write a trip report.

It's commonly used in cardiac patients, as a vasopressor. That is, it raises blood pressure. Seeing as to that its effects are substantial in the 0.25 mg range, injecting several milligrams of this stuff would be a bad idea. If you're expecting a rush off this stuff, you're sure to be very disappointed.

It is not the feeling your looking for. There are many chemicals used in the body and most have no intoxicating effect. I am just wondering if you can really take human adrenaline like in fear and loathing in las vegas....

Dopamine does not cross the blood brain barrier, so injecting it into your arm won't help. If you decide, however, to jam the needle through your skull, your likely to get a pretty good high.
