Don't Smoke Metal

This message is to anyone (particularly Aftermath) who smokes out of a metal pipe or with a metal screen:
Don't do it! I recently heard (I'm very sorry, I did a brief google search and came up with no sources, but I will post a link later if I find anything) from a friend that a study was recently completed showing increased dangers of cancer in [marijuana] users who used metal pipes and metal screens to smoke.
Can't tell you if it's any safer than a blunt... but my advice would be to quit the metal shit. Don't you think it tastes nasty.
If you really care about your lungs buy a vaporizer. (MAPS is still working to complete a study seeing if it reduces carcinogens in weed smoke, which I'll bet it does, but in the meantime...) They're only about $20 from some quality online merchants.

Yeah, metal pipes taste bad, and give you harsh ass blasts and get you right ripped, so i guess it kinda evens out.
But yeah, smoking any metal pipe kant be good for you, but smoking aluminum is just plain bad. I heard smoking out of a pop kan pipe gives you Alzimers...i rarely do it, i usuly just stick to wood or stone or glass

Does this mean I have to quit using my soda can pipe.....damn.... How could pulling a relatively cool flame over metal be worse than burning organic (weed)?. Weed is great, but it has a lot of bad stuff in it. Particularly bad…..it lets off CO when you burn it.....metal doesn't (I don't think) because it melts.
Metal...it doesn't burn all that well. What would be coming out of the metal that would be more harmful than the crap in the smoke?

For some reason, I have this feeling, that if you have a stainless steal pipe you aren't in any danger of inhailing metal vapor...
If you are inhaling metal vapor, stop using the mig welder to light your bowl...

Majortrippz is right. The melting point of steal is something around 3000c. The temperature that it will vaporise and become a gas that could be inhaled and that could fucked up your lungs would be considerably higher than the melting point...so, in other words, the only way that you could even melt steal is with a blow torch or welder...you're certainly not going to vapourise it with a damn lighter.
The link between aluminium and alchimez (sorry about the spelling) is only speculative and is not proven....but soda can pipes are shit anyway.
Smoking off metal = fucking up your lungs is a drugs myth that I often hear and that has no element of truth in it....think about the temperatures involved....surely that tells you something.

I hate smokin out of metal...but I love to smoke everywhere--you cant exactly whip out your four foot glass bong in the car, driving down the interstate. My little blue bullet is a god-given gift cuz it was madd cheap, hits pretty damn nice *altho you gotta clean clean clean clean that shit*, and its sooo fuking small that you can use it anywhere...w/ the "smokeless" cap that is sometimes good too, altho it allows you to hit better if you take it off, for motion of the fire.
I deffinately enjoy smoking out of glass much more, but sometimes metal is a lot more practical.
