Donating blood

You should be fine assuming you don't suffer from disorders which would complicate matters.

I asked a nurse at the blood clinic if it was safe to drink later that day. She said it was not a good idea, that you should wait a full day. I drank anyways and felt fine that night.

Therefore you should have no problems!

hey this is sort of unrelated since i dunno the answer to the op's question.

(though ganja after donating blood is 'a ok')

um i dont have a spleen and im wondering if the bloodbanks would let me donate blood or plasma? hm seems like it would be fine but i was just curious if anyone knew the answer to this.

"If your spleen was removed due to trauma or physical injury you are eligible to donate 6 months after full recovery. If you received a blood transfusion as well, you will not be eligible to donate for 12 months.

If however, your spleen was removed to treat a chronic illness such as immune thrombocytopaenic purpura (ITP) or lymphoma, you are not eligible to donate blood."

Hope this helps.
