Thanks for the advice. I never thought of registering again after Its all in. The person who used to do all my shots would just do them and not explain. We’re also not friends anymore so there’s I can ask to show me. I do have one more question tho. I’ve been injecting into my right arm and I found a spot that always registers. I believe it’s the cephalic vein in the crook of my elbow. When I pull back the plunger the blood goes in but it’s not that dark. Its kinda like a thick red lipstick color. When I push it in it there was no pressure and completely painless. No swelling or bleeding. I’m scared I might have hit an artery or a nerve. I’ve read that if you hit a nerve or an artery you definitely know because it will instantly hurt and you’ll feel pressure on the plunger. So maybe the blood is just a lilighter? It burns after I remove the needle but not where I injected but in inner elbow around where basilic vein in the crook of my elbow for like a 1-2 min. Basically across where I injected if I’m not using the right terms to explain where it hurts. Where I injected is also getting hard and when I touch I could feel it in my lower arm so I plan on leaving that one alone and let it heal. My main concern is hitting something that’s not a vein because the color is not a dark purple red and more of an red like an apple or lipstick. My other concern is the burn where it wasn’t injected after that I pull out. I’ve read everything I possibly could on IVing and still continue to read. I probably need someone to personally watch me so they can correct me on what I’m doing wrong and reassure me on what I’m doing right.Sometimes meth burns when you're injecting properly into a vein. The best way to assure you're not missing is to register a couple times and push the shot in slowly. I typically register maybe twice while I'm injecting and when I'm done pushing the drug in the vein register again to make sure you didn't miss.
Just for clarification, when I say register I mean pull back the plunger to make sure blood comes into the barrel. That means you're in. If you pull back and no blood enters your rig, you're not in. If you're pushing the drug in and it hurts really bad that's a sign that you're missing. Meth can burn slightly but if you're in a vein it shouldn't hurt too bad.
Be safe, read up before you do anything stupid, and please be careful.
If you must use IV drugs, have an experienced IV user show you exactly how to properly do a shot. It's very easy to miss and not know, and end up with an abscess that needs medical attention immediately or you risk becoming septic - puss (white blood cells) in your blood stream can be fatal and will need ER presentation as soon as possible.
Again, be safe.
You'll know if you miss. Like I have to force it to miss. When I'm in the vein and push like it goes. If your in the skin and push it doesn't want to go and you'll see it in the skin.Did I miss a shot of meth if I see blood in the barrel when I pull the plunger back and it hurts slightly when I inject it? When done the injection site is slightly sore but there is no bubble. Am I doing anything wrong?
