Does Wellbutrin affect MDMA?

I may start taking Wellbutrin but first I would like to know if Wellbutrin and MDMA interact in any particular way. Will Wellbutrin decrease the effects of MDMA?
 
MM Wellbutrin affects your dopamine which indirectly effects serotonin. Some people report it increases the roll, some say it mutes it, some say it stays the same.
 
Buproprion is a potent dopamine/norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, I was on it for four years at a dose of 600mg. I find that even after being off it two years...I don't get the effects of ecstasy that people describe...(although it feels great, i feel no life changing spiritual experiences and I hardly feel like hugging and kissing people, but thats just me)
 
How long would one have to be off of Wellbutrin in order to get the full effects of MDMA?
 
Center, i seriously think that is just a person by person feeling. I have NEVER felt like kissing and hugging everyone i've met. Nor have I had any life altering moments.

I've been hearing that Bupropian has a very short half life and even if you stopped taking it 2 days prior it should be fully out of your system.

I thought for sure that I was doomed to never being able to roll since I have recenlty been on an SSRI (Lexapro). Everyone's help has been greatly appreciated.

It's anything but potent.

^ I don't think wellbutirin will effect your roll. What dose are you taking?
 
We've had several posters at dancesafe who've found that wellbutrin does reduce the effects of mdma, although they do still feel something, it's a substantially reduced buzz.
 
I'm rather pissed off about this. The inconsistency of information is quite irritating as well. I guess I'l just quit taking the wellbutrin 5 days prior to rolling. Anyone know what the withdrawls are like?
 
stick on the meds, take the pill

if it doesnt work you know for next time.
 
My buddy was on it for about a year and he said that he didn't notice any effect from it. From what I have heard, its one of those where it depends completely on the person at hand.

Okay thanks. And I figure that if it does then I'll just stop the meds for about a week before I roll and I should be good. I wonder if there are any severe withdrawl symptoms from wellbutrin.... oh well, I don't want to ask that in an ecstasy forum. If anyone has any information on that issue please pm me.
 
Sorry, what's the final verdict as to how long I should stop taking my wellbutrin before I roll in order to get the full effect?
 
Bump, sorry I'm just rather eager to figure this out. Are there rules against 'bumping' a thread?
 
^ Yes, it's generally considered stupid especailly after only 10 hours of waiting. On 50mg, I wouldn't think you'd need to wait more than a couple of days for the drug to clear from your system.
