I have hypothyroidism, not severely or anything, and I take 88mcg Synthroid once a day to keep it in check. I can go days without taking the medication and not even feel any different if that gives you a clue about how low my thyroid is. What I want to know, is if smoking marijuana has any negative effects on someone with hypothyroidism? My mom had hyperthyroidism when she was young, and it went untreated for many, many years. She claims that she started smoking pot and it threw her into a thyroid storm. Is that even possible? Help would be appreciated.
