Opioids Does Kratom Hold The Same Dangers Combing With Benzos, Alcohol, Etc As Other Opiates?

Does kratom hold the same combination dangers as other opiates? For example, is it dangerous to combine Kratom with benzos or muscle relaxants?
 
Not really as long as you don't go heavy on the benzos. I was a daily kratom and temazepam user for a few months and I never once felt overly sedated.
 
Kratom n alcohol makes me puke! Even when I go light on both they don't combine well

I have to agree. My first couple times were great but the last few times I've tried it I've either puked or just felt like I was about to, same amounts of everything and puking up kratom IS as bad as it sounds! :p

^ I agree as well, terrible combo ime... known a couple who find it euphoric though.

Obvious HR would be to advise against combining CNS depressants, but from what experience the risk with plain leaf seems miniscule. I used to combine high doses of kratom and benzos all the time and I've never experienced any worrying respiratory depression. It just seems that kratom doesn't affect breathing nearly as much as other opioids.

If you do combine the two, just start low and test the waters a bit. My doses were usually either 2-3mgs Alprazolam/40mgs Diazepam/2mgs klonopin/2-4mgs etizolam (Not all at once of course! Typically only one of the following) with 7-10gs of kratom, 10gs being the most I can get away with before starting to feel like shit. I would tread more carefully with extracts though.

I've just tried Krantom about 3-4 times and drink with it but have only used these capsules that 1 you feel 2 is nice and three is about as good as 2-30mg. morph. I was amazed that they were so good and only illegal in Indiana. I still prefer my Roxis but 1 or two make the Roxi so much better. And I'm Irish so caste iron stomach, drink a half bottle of whiskey a day.
 
5g of red vein bali with .5mg etiz, a few beers and plenty of mj is pretty nice. Kratom actually settles my stomach so it's easier to drink with it than without. (For me) I started low with combining gaba drugs with kratom and have found it doesn't really suppress my heart rate much and even with benzos and alcohol it's no issue at all in reasonable dosages of each. Just don't go crazy stacking depressants. No binge drinking or amnesia inducing levels of benzos with it.
 
Mitragynine and 7-OH-mitragynine don't cause respiratory depression like other opioids, so the danger is significantly less.
 
I'm surprised how many people dislike the kratom+alcohol combo as I've always found that they go quite well together, though it's worth noting that I rarely drink and when I do it's usually only a pint or two.

Maybe this is a bit off topic and I don't think it's particularly dangerous, but I find that the combination of kratom and tobacco can be a bit strange. Nicotine rushes are much more enjoyable while under the influence of kratom, but it seems to lower my physical nicotine tolerance somewhat, so by the time I've nearly finished a smoking a rollie I often get that dirty nicotine OD feeling and start salivating loads and feeling nauseous. Similarly, if I take snus (a Swedish type of oral tobacco which is far less carcinogenic than normal chewing tobacco and safe to swallow so you don't have to spit all the damn time when using it) while on kratom I often get really bad hiccups. I've never heard anyone else mention that though, so it might just be me. Also, except one time when I had taken a tad too much kratom, I never noticed this decreased nicotine tolerance until I started using kratom on a daily basis, so I guess tolerance and dosage are significant factors.. It's almost as if there's something in kratom which binds to nicotine receptors or (more likely come to think of it) the two interact somehow because they both affect dopamine.
 
I think alcohol goes great with kratom, but like you I usually only have a few drinks with it. I think nicotine goes really well with kratom, but I'm using a vape. Maybe the stuff other than nicotine that's in tobacco is what's giving you the bad reaction. Isn't there a weak maoi in tobacco?
 
One time recently I had my daily 100 mg of Seroquel, 7 grams of kratom, smoked several hits of methamphetamine, drank 3 or 4 beers, and then smoked some great weed, and whew I was high as a kite. I had to go lay down, but it was real enjoyable, kind of psychedelic even. No respiratory problems or nausea. Haven't noticed any difference in smoking cigarettes while taking kratom, just that I smoke a little more. Interesting, though, I have been getting the hiccups lately since I've been taking kratom a lot. They go away when I hold my breath through one hiccup cycle, but I hardly ever got 'em before kratom. Hmmm.
 
I really don't think it would be...in my days of kratom I guese it hits the opiate receptors since I wasn't sick but always felt sooo fuckin UP on it(not like a good stimulant, but saaay a lil' stronger version of coffee.) I get sooo freaking jealous of people who say they nod off it..i'm sorry your tolerance would have to zero or it has that psdeooxinal (whatever the analouge of Mitryagiane is called) or odesmetramadol mixed in with it...then I could see it being dangerous, but not just plain old kratom....
 
While I have never achieved a proper nod on kratom, as a heavy daily user I can attest that high enough doses CAN cause mild, but very real respiratory depression. This seems to happen to me generally when mixing kratom with large doses of cannabis. But everyone is different; if kratom is mixed with enough other sedatives, there's no telling whether or not that could cause dangerous hypoventilation. Just my two cents.

Edit: That being said, I would like to add that combining a high dose of kratom and weed is definitely the best "natural" high I have ever had. They really seem to work well together.

ha I'm finishing up a sesh with kratom and alcohol right now

I never measure out the kratom but maybe 10g and two high alcohol content beers leads to niceness ;)

it's difficult to get to a level of satisfaction with kratom (as in, swallowing a bunch of shit)

oh well:|
 
Ya, pot and kratom did go good together, the key though to getting the dose ya need is a lil' bit at a time(my dose was 4 table spoons, 3-4 times a day, couldn't get down a whole table spoon at once so usually was consumed in a half hour.) But I don't see how people like to drink on this stuff, yuck..but opiates in general kill any appetite I have for booze, dunno why, only time I'm able to drink is when opiate free and there are no other GABA drugs arounds, although I would drink with some benzo's, so I guese I just gotta be opiate free to enjoy alcohol...
