Buprenorphine has stronger affinity for opioid receptors than most other Opioids, I wonder if this also applies to endogenous opiods- Endorphin.
I currently get an intense "runners high" euphoria and relaxation from exercise, in particular from long distance running or cycling.
If I were to go on Buprenorphine, would the endorpines be prevented from attcahing to the respective receptors, thus reducing or completely preventing the "Runners high"?
This would reduce the interest to do exercise, as I get a "Runners High" that is akin to taking a dose of strong opioids, but without the reduction in mental functioning.
