Does anyone have any experience with making hash from stems?

A friend of mine just finished this project successfully. He chopped up 36 plants worth of stems into tiny pieces, and extracted it with isopropyl alcohol....we all kind of thought he was crazy when he was chopping 'em all up, but what do ya know....it actually worked! Definitely not the tastiest product, but it'll make some great butter.

He also has all the shake ready to make into hash as well....not even the good shake, but the fan leaves. Anyone have experience with this? He has access to some bubble bags, so he may go this route, or do the isopropyl extraction again.

Stems have a ridiculously low content of THC. It probably cost him more to produce than it yielded

Wrong low grade pot stems wont contain much but as long as it decent pot it would definately be worth it to do something with it. It wont make super high quality hash but it'll be better than throwing the shit away.

yeah I've done this a few times. def works and doesn't take much time.

IPA extractions yield cannabis oil, not hash. Hash is an agglomeration of trichomes, extracted physically.
