Does 2c-i Expire?

I personally haven't had any issues with any of my RC's expiring.

But a while back, I passed 1gram of 2c-i to a mate, which was in it's original vacuum sealed bag from the manufacturer.

He kept it in the back of a drawer or something in his room, and then months after I passed it to him, he took it out and tried some and reckons that it had zero effect.

He then went on to compare it to Talc!

I've never ever had any issues with my manufacturer at all.....but, does 2c-i expire or go bad in certain conditions or is this guy fucking with me?
 
Phenethylamines are stable compounds, and they don't degrade if you don't try to broke them.
Check this thread, 2C-I stored for 10 years retained at least 2/3 of its original potency.

So, few more questions about the situation. Did you try your 2C-I yourself? Sometimes vendors send random powder instead of chemicals. How many milligrams of 2C-I took your mate? Maybe he is just a hardhead, some people report no effects on as high as 20 mg of 2C-I, but they get effects from higher doses.
 
Cheers for the reply, that's what I thought it was.

Unfortunately I did not try it myself and gave it to him sealed - but this supplier is very good and has never let me down with several orders over the last few years I highly doubt it would be a random powder.

My mate has gone a bit quiet on me since I have been trying to ascertain his dosage method and quantity....seems a bit fishy now that we have busted his "expired" claim.
 
Appropriate answer given :) indeed that makes it fishy, but I am saying right now that we cannot identify what it is if not 2C-I. That is something you are gonna have to figure out for yourself with this guy.

Case closed or does the plot thicken? :D
 
I recently found a vial of 2c i that I purchased in 2003. Dose for dose I find it as potent as batches that are less than a year old. Cool, dry and air tight.
 
The guy is on holiday at the moment overseas so I'll have to wait till he gets back before confronting him.

Will let you guys know the drama as it unfolds ahahaha
