I don't believe in spirits but for those of you who do, do you think plants have spirits?

Some of them say animals have spirits so why not plants?

I don't know if every single blade of grass has a soul per se, but I think all life is animated by a certain divinity, humans no more then ants.

I think the plant would first need to be intelligent to be considered as existing spiritually.

All matter has "spirit", define spirit tho.

My thought too.

Spirit could mean simply direction. Spirit could mean frequency on whatever level they vibrate at. Spirit could mean color. Spirit could mean culmination of everything up to that single seed on that single plant. Although even this is limited in ways of seeing "spirits", I believe its easy to see that plants have spirits... a single blade of grass, and all of them. A single human, and all of them. Spirit/Spirits. Even your body can be seen the same way. One, and many spirits. Even a single molecule can be seen as one and many, and even an atom.

I think a blade of grass of plant is as much alive as we are. I mean we think were more... we talk, build, kill, think, cry, we do lots of things and so we think were more then the plants and grass but were not. There is no soul. Its a joke to think that there is something magic in us that floats away to a magic kingdom when we die. When a plant dies it decays just like us. Nothing has a spirit, but sure everything has life.

I find it can be very useful. You just have to change your concept of it. Spirit is a word- a tool comprised of six parts, also tools in senses. Even.the sound of the word can be seen as toolish, as any word or combination of.

It helps nobody to say there's a difference between spirit and soul unless you break down as close to exactly as possible what YOU mean with each word- what they mean to you. As with subjective reality, we can only try to be exact; we can only try to be objective...

I'm guessing you're thinking that soul is like "you" retaining your"self" after death, and continuing to experience. I don't see a difference between soul and spirit, myself. I can see how others might, but I see everything as "spirit". It's just a word. It helps me see unity.

People can mean so many things with words. I'd like to say that's their right, so that we can all get along, but many aren't... aren't "right" enough, or at all, at least by the view of some potentially more unifying, or capable of spreading "understanding", hence it carries power. It gives power. It reveals power. It's stronger.

Spirit is God. Spirit is death, decay, dysfunction for function. It falls apart to reveal ways together. Sick to heal.

Spirit is your birth, family, voice, diet, contents of environment, every way you effect others, have effected...
How can you even say you have a TRUE individual identity, with your spirit- all that you are in with, depend on, listen to, try to be think, your parents, and how they raised you, and their parents (family). In a sense, you've been alive in countless others, even animals before you, or forms compatible, as we're all compatible or else we wouldn't exist here- compatible on levels. but an overall compatible in form and process to exist occupying the same chain... system. It's not far fetched that this too is you.. your spirit. It is you reflecting you.

In the "spirit", the OP is no longer a bluelighter. He ended with exactly 314 posts, in the spirit of 3.14159256...? Something that can easily be seen as one unifying "spirit". In his death, spirit might be revealed. Amen.

How do we know?

Whether they do or don't, I will continue to eat plants (and animals) with gusto, and step on them as I walk each day.

Im not going to say where im from or what nationality or whatever but i firmly believe that everything has a spirit even rocks and stones. where im from we believe that spirits attribute to illness and malaise as well as good things, like that time something seemed like it happened to you but you didnt get hurt, killed or die because a spirit that is drawn to your innermost thought and energy helped you.
