Do you retain most of your function if you took too much stims on a certain day?

So, my roommate was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD so the doctor gives him a certain amount of Adderall to take each day. But instead of taking a little bit each day. He saves up and goes on a binge each week. Like he try to go one week without it and then the last day of the week he indulges in a little treat. The next day he is clearly fucked up, but he can still do basic stuff like driving, talking, go to work, etc. So based on this observation, could it be true that you can retain some of your functions after the crash and if so, how much energy do you reckon you'd get back?

Well, yeah... I don't think anyone claimed that amphetamine crashes make it impossible to do anything. You're just going to lack the same motivation and drive as you would normally have.

Everyone responds differently to stimulants, though. And stuff like staying hydrated, staying properly nourished, getting proper sleep can make a world of difference. If you go on a speed binge without eating or really treating your body right... you're very likely to feel like shit.

This isn't NSPD material, it belongs in BDD I think?
