I love melodic/uplifting/chillout instrumental trance songs so much so that I created a fb page dedicated to it here https://www.facebook.com/instrumentaltrance

Like my page to keep up with updates and vote on the poll to let me know your favorite musical instruments in trance songs.

Cheers guys!

I appreciate what you're doing as I personally can't stand trance music with anything more than an odd vocal sample here and there. Once Heavily vocal McTrance was born that was the beginning of the end for me.

I know what you mean but I don't think all vocal trance sucks donkey balls. What do you think of something like this track?

It was released this year.

I just don’t find anything enjoyable about the human voice in electronic music. Some people find it soothing, I don’t.

I listen to electronic music to take me away from the world. Hearing someones voice is the fastest way to bring me back to this world when my brain is off on a musical journey. Different strokes for different folks :)

Barbers Adagio for Strings, the William Orbit mix, is my favourite instrumental Trance track.

Never gets old, timeless classic !

Yeah I liked your page. Vocal trance can be good but it is about using the vocals properly, as an instrument, when they add to the song, and refraining when they don't. Vocals in trance are not for when you want to force an emotional or uplifting moment that you couldn't do with the music, and they're not for just putting vocals in because that is what the average clubgoer wants to hear.

God I hate being a hateful bitch but I just can't do it. I appreciate that you are sharing music that you love but my reaction to trance, especially the modern stuff, is no bueno.

@Sweet Jones Thanks for the like mate.

@Morphling Actually I think you'll find most are older tracks although I really couldn't care when they were released if it's good I'll be sharing it.

I grew up listening to trance in the late 90s I know all about the good stuff :)

i would say as a default, trance is instrumental. there are loads of tracks where they have been remade with a vocal layered over it. would be here all day listing tracks. i like stuff thats got a bit of a hook though, can make all the difference

I always found trance best served up with a candyflip, while floored staring up at a lasershow and hopefully making out with someone really hot. I think my musical tastes have just evolved since the old raver days.
