Do you have a drug calendar/diary?

Do you find it strange to keep 3 years of drug use written down and recorded on a calendar? Dated each day, to the exact drug and dose. I don't know why I have it or why I did it. Maybe to remember the journey and for better recall of experiences? Maybe it's just a bit OCD. Does anyone else keep track of their drugging? If so, why do you do it?

:)

im trying to taper down on my opiate use at the moment so i have one besides writing in the thread in drug culture here on bl

used to have one on my pc for allmost a year

i do it to see how much i use.... it can really open your eyes to how much you use... so thats a good thing about using such thing also you can keep count on your tolerance

I like to write when I am high... so I always jot down the time, date and anything I took... it also helps ease my mind because if I ever overdose or something the paramedics will know what and how much I took... that's a little grim, but yeah...

yea, i do think thats a little weird..

maybe for somebody who dont use a whole lot...

but for people like i used to be who did drugs all day, everyday, many times during the day, who are addicted to shit...no fuckin way. Why would i write down every time i pee or eat, cuz to a junkie its basically the same thin.when gettin high is just as common of a part of the day as breathing, that shit is just ridiculous to be writing down. Like why the fuck would i ever want to write down that I shot 3 bags of dope when i woke up at 8am, hustled up money all day then went to cop, shot 8 bags of dope at 2 pm, shot 5 bags at 5 pm, 3 bags at 7 pm, 3 bags at 8 30, 5 bags at 10 and 3 bags before goin to bed at 1.

Yea, that definately aint somethin i would have the slightest interest in doing, or reason to do. The only people i ever heard of who do a drug diary type thing are folks who its still new to. When its some kind of new exciting novel thing then you got a reason to talk about it. Just like how kids who never smoked a cig before will talk all cool like "yea, i just SMOKED A CIGARETTE today...." but to people who smoke a pack a day its like why would you ever even mention that....

i never known nobody personally who wrote the shit down and reading about it here on bluelight the only folks i ever heard of doing it is people who dont do enough drugs to make it just be a normal boring part of life, and its still something exciting and out of the ordinary for them enough to deserve writin about.

There are many different types of drug users. I was never a dope junkie, but I definitely did not think I qualified as someone who was inexperienced. We use very different drugs. I was strictly using psychedelics and hallucinogens on almost a daily basis, the only difference is you can't effectively trip on the same psychedelic multiple days in a row. I would rotate between many different hallucinogens (lsd, shrooms, mdma, dxm, 2c's, other rc's etc) to keep my tolerance in check, usually I would record it because I couldn't remember the time in between. If you knew what you were doing, you would want to wait at least a week or two between each individual drug to feel the effects, but there are enough different hallucinogens to fill in the days in between.

I'd be in denial to think I wasn't an addict, it wasn't anything new to me and I used on a daily basis. I did this for years and had it down to a system. I didn't need any single drug in specific, I wasn't addicted to any single chemical, but I sure was addicted to a chemical high in general. I needed A trip. You're right, it was exciting, but I don't consider that kind of journey constitutes as boring or ordinary to what 'normal' is at all. But I definitely don't think that means its "somebody who don't use a whole lot". In your eyes it may be, but our viewpoints are very different. :)

I'm somewhat similar. I've never and will never be a junkie. I don't say this lightly-I have tried 2 opiates one time each and it was for medical reasons. I have never tried a benzo. I haven't tried any strongly addicting stims. I have tried many psychedelics however. I smoke weed everyday and while it might be dumb to take a record of that, its kind of nice to know what drugs I have tried. I don't keep a journal but I keep a list of all of the drugs I've tried and if I know, how many times I've used each one. Not the dates, but a little reminder if it comes up in conversation.

I totally agree though, I bet a lot of people would hate to cause it would show them how much they use.

I used to have a log of every psychedelic I had ever taken with the amount, month/season ingested, and mode of ingestion. Then I realized it was pointless.

That's pretty much what it comes to after all is said and done. But I thought it was neat to look at when I found it the other day :\

HELL NO, i would never want to document any of that, not because i'd be concerned that anyone would see it just because the act of writing that all down then looking at it would make me feel like shit..i would probably get a better idea of how many fucking drugs ive actually done..then i would mentally assign a $ amount to each dose; then i would spiral into a depression with the knowledge of how much money i'd spent on.....nothing...getting high

It coudl come in handy at some point... I used to do it back in the day when I first started doin shit in h.s. and I still had those little h.s. day planners they always hand out to you in homeroom the first day of school lmfao ;) so yeah instead of homework mine was filled up with dates I tried certain drugs for teh first time, the first time I'd mix different things together and how it went, dates of parties/ravesEtc... kinda fun to look back on if i could ever find the damn thing....

I used too to that when I was a etard. I started having trouble remembering what I took at what time and how much so I kept notes, I also had/have a theory on when to take the next pill. A timing thing. So of course I had to write it down(make a note on my phone) I even wrote down how I was feeling and what was going. Some of it even made it to pillreports. It was reallity check when I took my time and looked through and actually count the amount of pills I consumed. I still have it and probably will need log more infor soon

What a terrible idea. I would never want to leave a paper trail linking me to illicit drug use.

I think therefore I am - Descarte

That is fucking insane to do a hallucinogenics every day. OMG how the fuck would you know what is real and what isn't? No wonder you have drugs use calender- you're crazy! How did you not end up in a mental facility is what i want to know. Regardless, I never did a drug Calender but it would be interesting to know how much money and drugs a spent in my life and maybe a make a graph out of it and publish in Journal of medicine or maybe high times (partially kidding here , you know j/k). Then again, being a serious dope feen as I use to be it would def be a little difficult to keep track . I would be like keeing track of every bathroom i used to take a piss

I Didn't know what was real or what wasn't, everything just simply was. And I did end up in mental facilities, a few times actually. It's not really that unbelievable though. I was always at my house tripping in a comfortable environment and I never really left anywhere.

I do agree on some level with some of the people who think keeping track of your use is unnecessary. There was a period of time when I was only using prescription pills and smoking cannabis where I never wrote anything down. I think it's usefulness all depends on the individual user and the drugs involved. Looking back now I think i more so did it as a way of thinking I was managing my addiction and was in control. Sadly, I wasn't, and regardless if I had recorded it or not, the outcome and where I'm at today probably wouldn't be any different.

Nope I am a little too paranoid for things like that. Say im going up on an armed robbery trial and my log book the week after the bank got hit there is like 11 days in a row with a small fourtune worth.

Its an extreme example but i firmly believe anything illegal should not be put in a book detailing quantity used, day, month, year, time, price.

Just some quick questions how did you finance such a thing as doing hallucinogenics everyday because i would imagine even the easiest minimum wage job would be quite difficult on those type of drugs. And what about the people around you who aren't using these type of drugs did they nag and hassle yo all the time? And i'm assuming you have stopped and what made you stop using hallucinogenics? do you have any mental issue from using soo much for so long ?

I kind of go through phases. When I'm trying to lower my tolerance, or have a small amount of pills THEN I record my daily intake. I typically do this with substances that I take w/o noticing how much I'm taking, such as : oxycodone/hydromorphone and adderall/ritalin.

It's definitely more often that I do NOT record or keep a diary of my drug use. "Ignorance is bliss" (except not at all...).

once i tried to record how much weed i smoked for 7 days. Amounts, what kind of strain, method of smoking...needless to say i think i made it 4-5 days before i realized it was retarded and pointless...and i kept forgetting to write shit down because i was too high anyways.

this is an interesting idea though...i might start doing this for all drugs i take

Exactly. Esp if you're on papers (way in the past for me) already, it can be used to further incriminate you...and yes it did happen.
