So i took a 5 day break from smoking after about a year an a half long streak of smoking everyday. im a regular smoker. Occassionaly ill have a day i dont smoke. but i normally end up smoking about 4 or 5 blunts worth a day. theres normally like 2 heads on a blunt, but i have some of them to myself. an then i always end up with a couple bowls inbetween. I normally smoke before school then get out around 2 an smoke a couple times before i go home. then occasionally ill smoke once im at home an in for the night. I dont like to think of my self as a pothead cus i dont just smoke an be deflated all day. iv got school an other functions through the day. an i keep my grades pretty nice.

But after this 5 day break i started noticing i had joint pains an loss of appetite when i dont smoke. an ofcourse i sleep better after smoking. So how much does a normall person smoke a day? an am i living horribley unhealthy? id say im pretty healthy though. i eat alot but am in shape cus im constantly going.

this is my first post, so mybad if its clearly amateur posting XD

i think you smoke pretty commonly, but who are any of us to tell you you smoke too much? there is no right answer here, it just depends on what you feel. if smoking doesn't hold you back in life and you feel productive and satisfied with where you're at and where you're going, then whats the problem....

We can't tell you what is "too much", because that varies person to person.. What I can say is that you smoke alot, far more than the average pot smoker does..

As far as your health is concerned, the tobacco from all those blunts is probably doing the most damage ;)

smoking any more than 5 bowls a day is too much for me. my friends can hit the bong literally all day long and still want more. it can change so much from person to person. if you feel like its taking a toll on you, its too much

If it's holding you back from doing what you need/want to do then yes, but all you need is some 5 year old's pee and you are good.
If you already landed a decent job I don't think it's possible to smoke too much unless you literally blow your entire paycheck on it.
"Too much" is associated with the consequences that comes from smoking, not the actual effects of marijuana itself.

Man thats got to cost you a lot of money, have you ever sat down and figured out how much you are spending just on weed a month? You could have bought a car with all that money, or been saving for the down payment on a house! And your tolerance has got to be through the roof, hence why you have to smoke so much to get high and keep the high.

One thing I do to help save money is smoke a lot in a week and when the tolerance starts to kick in I take 7-10 days off before I smoke for a week again. This also helps with withdrawal as the only symptom is maybe not being able to sleep so well the first night off weed.

how much weed is in an average blunt in terms of a real amount? i dont deal with a lot of blunts and not proper ones very often, so i dont really know. i used to smoke 1/4 a day for about 6 months before, then my lungs packed up and left as i got less and less active.

i would say taking a break until those pains and appetite loss problems go away is the best bet, especially as that will lower your tolerance HUGELY. theyre the normal problems when you stop smoking weed, usually takes me about 2 weeks after a long long time smoking a lot, before i go back to close to completely normal with my eating habits. just try not to build back up to your old level, keep in mind that taking a break here and there to knock your tolerance around is a good idea and so on.

Smoking a blunts worth of weed at a time is too much for one person IMO, even with mids, not to mention dank bud. Oh, and OP is a pothead, no doubt about it.

yeah I LOLed when i read the part where he said he didn't think of himself as a pothead.

anyway, it's way too much in my opinion. if you smoke that often, weed will lose some or all of its magic and not be nearly as enjoyable. in addition to that, there are negative health consequences that come along with your level of consumption. you mentioned some of them, the loss of apatite, other withdrawal effects when stopping. it also causes anxiety and other mental health problems in many people and of course it is not good for your lungs or your heart. i would say that you are addicted.

Well you aren't smoking too much but your intake of smoke is going to have terribly harmful effects on you. If you're seriously, genuinely worried about how much you're smoking, buy a vaporizer or something that's going to reduce the smoke going into your lungs.
