So as of a year ago I’ve noticed that every time i consume cannabis weather that be smoke flower or use concentrates, even edibles, i end up getting a large gas bubble/pain in my upper left abdominal area behind the bottom of my rib cage. This only seems to subside days after i stop cannabis use. Does anybody know a fix to this bizarre issue? The pain is now outweighing any benefit from cannabis but i really dont want to stop as she is my one true love… any and all advice would be appreciated!

Seriously if anybody can help me figure out a fix i got a reward for them because I’ve already spent ridiculous time and money with Dr.s, and nothing…

i dont know why but this sounds perhaps like an Adrenal Gland issue?
Maybe the body is responding to being high as being stressed , then throwing out these issues
How would you recommend me locating the issue.. it’s been a cat and mouse game for years now.

if you have other symptoms that match some kind of adrenal gland issue then go for tests for it

so if you are someone who responds badly to stress then its a sign id say

maybe getting high is causing you to breath differently and it's something about a change in your air intake..

on the subject of the adrenal gland, i'd think the way a person breathed would change their adrenaline, but i'm not a science person. just kind of seems like the two might have something to do with each other.. maybe the marijuana can do that too with out the breathing be an effect...i really have no idea.. sorry you can't enjoy THC anymore.

if you're adamant on smoking, just try to relax and breath through your nose... maybe you just have to stop though.. i wouldn't think doctors would know anything about this TBH, maybe someone on the net has some experience or something though. good-luck

Damn thank you for the advice. I really hope that maybe a long reset will work. Otherwise the pain may be here to stay.. we shall see

Don't u eat too much ? Maybe u are full of gas and shit . Like, for real. Caffeine will treat this. If it's caused by something else, probably change route of smoking and if it won't help, u will need some time without weed.

Does the pain effect your breathing? If it's right under your ribs it could be some minor lung scarring. Have you had a chest X-ray?

The abdominal discomfort you describe sounds like indigestion that could be diet, medication or even you swallowing some smoke while inhaling then this builds up causing stomach pain. It is also quite likely that the pain and discomfort are made worse by anxiety and the expectation that the pain will occur every time you use cannabis, regardless of the route of administration. THC will make the anxiety and psychosomatic symptoms worse which will reinforce your belief that your symptoms are purely physical and are caused by cannabis.
Take a short break, have a look at your diet, maybe consider a course of omeprazole and go to your doctor if the issue persists. Start with a low dose and work up when you resume.

Or of course it could be the weed telling you its time to put the joint down and pick up some Heroin or a tasty bit of crystal meth...who knows

Weird 🧐 . I use weed to aliveate abdominal pain associated with IBS. Kinda a double edged sword though as I often over eat causing more symptoms the next day.

I posted this in another thread but if you’ll search google scholar you’ll find research linking chronic cannabis use with higher incidence of IBS

I used to have certain kind of ache in my chest which was caused by skeletal muscle stiffness. This is common syndrome. The sensation and attention to it was increased high because I know weed and blood pressure and pulse are associated and not completely trivial. And because stoned people have all kind of paranoia and theories. Somehow I managed to grow over it. I have not really experienced this issue since forgetting about it.

Yes, cannabis can make you psychosomatic as fuck.
