I didn't remember how we met

I didn't know why I wanted to see you
but you made me glad I did.
You smiled when I was unsure, and I knew everything was okay.
You held my hand when I was nervous, and the fear melted away.
You made me laugh when I was uneasy
And went out of your way to please me
You told me things you didn't have to say
but it never seemed out of your way
You shared stories I didn't need to hear
and helped me believe I have nothing to fear
When I'm mean and my mood is a wreck
you calm me down and keep me in check
Make me laugh when I want to cry
and keep me alive when I want to die
It's these things that keep me wishing you were always here
but my lack of trust in myself to tell you
Fear of hurting you, or scaring you away
overrides my fear of losing you to someone else...
some one who might need you
some one who deserves you
I need you...
But do I deserve you?

And there is a REAAAALLY good chance that the person i wrote this about will read it... and an even better change that this person will have no idea it's about them, and even if they do they won't tell me
