diphenoxylate is a weak opiate that is used typically for its anti-diarrheal properties. in lonox and lomotil its paired with Atropine, which i believe is used to discourage abuse, just like acetaminophen/hydrocodone is combined to prevent abuse.
My major question is this:
Since diphenoxylate is very weak and paired with the atropine, is there any real possibility of physical dependance when taking lonox/lomotil for a month or more everyday?
If, so what are the symptoms typically like?
My GF is taking lonox, she doesnt have a gull bladder and she has to go #2 all the freakin time. shes been on it for almost 2 months, almost every single day. I think its effecting her, but i cant find much info on this.
the only thread i could find on this subject was already closed... and it didnt help at all. i also hope i chose the right prefix.
