Difficulty Waking Up

I am a regular smoker and I like to smoke a joint especially before I go to bed.
But recently I've had trouble waking up the next morning.
Does anyone else have the same problem and could you advise something to maybe decrease this effect?

yeah i have the same problem . my eyes kind of feel heavy ....its kind of like a weed hangover..its not bad it just isnt good if you have to go to work at 7 in the morning.
 
The only thing you can do is trying not smoke before you go to bed. That, or take stimulants to wake you up.
 
Same problemo. Seemes that I need more sleep if i've been smoking (or drinking) in order to not be tired....yeah pot and working regulary don't mix. it really sucks to be tired all the time.
 
I've discovered this stupid little mental theory; that if you smoke pot with the intent that it's a stimulant, it works as a stimulant, and if you smoke it with the intent that's it's an opiate [forlackofbetterword], then it works as that.

It sounds stupid, but try it sometime. It makes me giggle just thinking about it.

I totally just realized I didn't finish what my point was. Hmm.
Anyways, if you like smoking before bed, do so, just have in mind you'd like it to be an opiate and you can get the full REM rest you need; not being tired in the morning.
Of course, it's all a mind over matter thing, but it's hella cool.

Does anyone know the best type of bud that has a more stimulant effect? I guess it would probably be some type of sativa, anyone know what plant?

It's hard to name a certain plant.. People have to realize that a strain is just a cross between two plants, and not everyone has the same two plants to cross... It's not like a brand name, it's hard to replicate a strain from grower to grower.

The best I can tell you is look for compact and brighter green buds. Sativa tends to produce such fruits.

And like it's been said, smoking before sleep isn't a good idea. Smoking to where you have a little sober period before sleep (I usually allow for 30-40 minutes) seems to work for me. I sleep 5 hours a night.

When I smoke before bed, which I do often because it is great, I usually smoke early enough to get a long night's sleep in. If I get between 8 and 9 hours of sleep, I usually don't encounter any problems waking up.
 
I feel mildly stoned if I smoke too much, but mainly when I smoke I can't fall asleep... like I zombie/zone out... but just lay there in bed mind racing even though I just felt really tired sitting up/whatevr...
 
I found that there is a window of time where you can wake up easily, and once you go past that window it will be so hard you probably lie in bed all day. I was usually having alot of trouble waking up at around 9:30 (going to sleep at 2 or 3) and when I tried waking up at 7:30-8 it was much easier. Try setting your alarm a little earlier/later maybe.
 
I think it's more an issue of willpower. If you force yourself out of bed at the same time each morning you're going to get used to it and it'll be easier. That doesn't mean you won't still feel magnetized to the bed, but once you're up and moving you can quickly get over that feeling. I've always had trouble getting out of bed, smoking or not, and for me it's just boiled down to discipline.

i've tried not smoking right before i go to sleep and it does seem a bit easier to wake up
i also drink 2 beers everyday after work... i'm guessing that makes it even harder
 
coffee works well... and turn around ur self for 30-40 secs then sit on bed and start to put on ur clothes... or just leave a piece of chocolate near ur bed, to be able to eat it u will wake up trust me =P
 
I only read the first post, but I wake up the same way I go to bed...with a huge bong rip. Wakes me up just fine. Try it.
 
Stop your ingestion well before bedtime and you will find that the "hangover" effect isn't as bad.

Also, don't push your dosing limits as aggressively.

These are what I have found when I try to reduce that nasty side effect. Not being able to get up in the morning sucks.
