Did it take you a few tries before you got high on opiates?

Hi gang,

So I started experimenting with opiates recently. I'd say for the first 5-10 times I really didnt get much enjoyment out of the ones I tried (dihydrocodeine, dextromoramide, pethidine).

But now after several attempts I can take 150 mg dihydrocodeine (just did 2 hours ago) as the euphoria is great. Really really nice. Before it just kind of made me feel dissy and wasnt that fun.

This compares to say, MDMA where the first time was the best.

Can anyone relate?

I can half relate with you, as in...I once came across around 8 40mg OC's for free and i was pumped, so i started testing the water with 20mg-30mg doses and got a nice light high coming on and then id just get sick! have to lay down and try to sleep it off.

after i ran out of these with only 1 or 2 ok experiences, i tried to experiment with poppy tea....and that just had me dry reaching for 6 hours feeling like i had an extreme flu for a few hours....cold sweats etc. noooo idea why?

i would still like to experiment with opiates as it sounds amazing (and deadly), but i wonder if i will ever enjoy the high?
 
Sort of. I have noticed that over time it seems like I enjoy opiates more and more. When I first started taking Vicoden, percocets, and codiene, I could take as many as I wanted. I really didn't even get a buzz off of them at all. The first time I took codeine I took like half of the bottle and just gave up cause I didn't feel anything. Even when I started taking morphine and methadone I only felt minimal effects, and would only take them if I could get them for free. But it seemed like everytime I took them, I liked them a little better, and a little better.

The first time I got REALLY blown away by any opiate was when I first tried fentanyl. Then after that I could really feel them, and after that was when I started liking them a lot. Now I get nice euphoria, nods, dreamy, the works! It's really starnge, and I have no idea why it played-out that way, but to me it says something as to the addiction potential of these drugs. "Oh, it's okay... see, it's not that bad. Here, have some more... it's not going to hurt you..." Then WAMMY! You're hooked
 
i got "high" i guess the first few times.... but i didn't like it because i got so sick.
the very first time i didn't feel a thing (but only took 1 vic and 1 perc).... then the next couple times i just got sick... then when i got over the sick part, hallelujah!!!

Nope, me and a friend had picked up a bag of dope and we cut it into a few lines, took two small lines each and i don't think i've ever been that high before...

we decided to walk up to the kebab shop and there was literally a trail of vomit from the house up to the kebab shop...i was just sitting in the shop, i was nodding so hard i had my whole face buried in my pita with shawarma.

those were the fucking days!
 
I got melting-into-the-chair high the first time I took hydrocodone, but then came the nausea, which left me nodding on the ground next to the toilet. Got over that once I got accustomed to the dose, but it was pretty miserable at the time.
 
When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I went through 20 7.5mg vicodin tablets without ever feeling high. However, when I was given that first 10mg norco, everything changed. I was in love.
 
Nope, first opiate used was heroin (smoked) and it was just lovely. Then onto the opium/opium tincture (more loveliness). Then move to the pharms (more loveliness). Then back to the heroin (yet more loveliness... and things went and ended up a bit messy.)

Actually, the first time I took opiates, it was Oxycontin and I loved it and was high as hell. BUT... when I graduated to IV heroin, it took me about 5 shots (not all at once) but 5 tries to actually get it right and get a rush and euphoria.
 
The first time I took Vicodin I took 17.5mg or 3.5 5/500 tablets. I was so fucking high. It was bliss. I remember those times so well. No high was like my first high. :)

Of course then you start chasing that high and it all goes downhill with a fucking quickness and thats BAD. :(
 
First time I took opiates was when I was 8 I think. I remember my mom giving me some medicine. It felt good, very very fucking good. I chased after that high with cold medicine for years until I realized shortly after trying ecstasy, that what she gave me was codeine. From there I went on to try Tramadol which was quite good, then I tried Vicodin, absolute magic. Then I tried heroin IV for the first time. I fell in love. Every opiate and opiod I have done I have gotten off on the first try.
 
hated em, hated em, HATED em.

tried several times, usually ending up with an uncomfortable 'high', and puking.

then I found OCs, and that you could snort 'em.

What am I doing right now you ask? Trying to find some opiates :D
 
I puked lots, but then nodded and itched lots on my first time.
It was fucking excellent.
That said though, I learnt to tolerate opioids better after about 3 tries with them, and stopped puking when I have them, so perhaps in terms of overall "goodness" it did take a few tries to get the best out of them.
