Diazepam (Valium) and Hydrocodone (Norco) Used together questions

Hello,

I was prescribed 10mg Diazepam (Valium) and 10-325 Hydrocodone (Norco) for a medical procedure I am getting done today. He prescribed it because I expressed my anxiety for this procedure. I was wondering if it was ok to take both at the same time. The instructions are to take both 1 hour before the procedure. The thing that worried me is that when I picked them up from the pharmacy the pharmacist said this is a lot for a test which got me worried. I thought it would be best to post and get some help with this and find out if it is ok and what to expect. I am 280 pounds if that helps anybody. Thank you ahead of time for anybody who responds!

I'd expect your doctor performing this procedure would have much more info on your lifestyle/need for meds than a pharmacist.

Some appear to have a controlling personality, when truly,- it should be "shut up, it's between my dr & myself".

If there what your dr seems to think is ideal for you, then don't second guess it by some wannabe .
