I'm going to move this to Basic Drug Discussion, simple dosage questions are better suited to that forum :)

EADD > BDD

It depends on your tolerance more than anything, rather than your height/weight - have you used diazepam or other benzodiazepines before?. Diazepam is classed as an anxiolytic benzo not a hypnotic one (removes anxiety rather than puts you to sleep) but a lot of people find it sedating too. It's long lasting so you should sleep through the night but you might still feel sedated the next day. Remember diazepam is addictive if you start using it regularly for sleep..

If you've not taken it or other benzos before I'd start with 10mg rather than 20-25mg, maybe even 5mg.

Hi effie,

Tks to moving to appropriate section :)

No i haven't use this pills before and not use other benzo's too.

Well but in my country unfortunately thats is what i can get to sleep.

But if i try 25mg?

Tks.

Hey, no problem :) If you've not tried it before I'd start with 10mgs, see how you go with that - 25mgs is pretty big for a first dose, it might be too much and as it has such a long half-life you might find you end up sleeping for too long! Plus tolerance builds when you take benzos, you want to take the lowest dose you need really.

Don't mix it with alcohol or opioids as this can be dangerous. I'm sorry that's all you can get for sleep - do bear in mind the risks of addiction, it's best kept as an occasional thing, benzo addiction is not fun. Can you get hold of any sedating antihistamines (promethazine, hydroxyzine, diphenhydramine etc)? They can be a helpful alternative.

Hi effie,

Ok i will try 10mg.
No i only need this time because i have to sleep well.
Stress kills xD

I ask about Rohypnol (Flunitrazepam) by Roche but in Portugal not sell it anymore even with medical prescription :(

The lady on pharmacy sell me Diazepam only in substitution.

Tks.

I'd echo Effie, don't take everyday and don't start letting the dose increase, its so easy to fall into the trap of addiction with benzos as tolerance rises quite quickly.

No more than twice a week would be my advice and don't ever go over 20mgs and you will be fine, start going beyond these numbers and you are playing with fire.

My apologies, also welcome to BL

lol....yes...10mg is a great starting dose...

the first time I took vallium, I think I got the small ones and felt nothing, but then I got ahold of one of those blue TEVA's and the first time I had it I couldn't keep myself awake...

now I can take 10 of those blue TEVA's and just barely get passed the threshold dose for recreation...as said before...diazepam is very addictive

Theres no good starting dose for any Benzo, they all lead down the path to destruction (IME)

I agree, only 10 mgs. After that u become well me. Freakin high tolerance and it won't help with anything anymore.
And whoa! They sell diazepam OTC at the pharmacies in Portugal? Man, I hate the US more and more lol.
Welcome to BL!

Hi,

Yes they sell it :)
And Vallium too :)

I take it with out prescription but the lady knows me and my mom so... its easy to take :)
She said to deliver the prescription later :)

But what i really want is Rophynol by Roche.
But is discontinued :(

In the US are difficult to get Diazepam?

Tks :)

CM

Appreciate your problems Pete, but I know many people who have been prescribed Diaz for short term (2-3) weeks to relieve anxiety etc and come back off with no problems at all. To be fair none of them were recreational drug users, I think this has quite a big impact on the liklehod of you developing a problem.
You just can't get a decent sized prescription out of a UK doctor, so you would have to source elsewhere to gain a serious habit and unless your used to sourcing controlled substances your much less likely to start.

Just be careful of using it too much, if start taking diazepam every night for sleep, it'll just make your insomnia worse in the long run, and you may end up getting withdrawal symptoms.

Of course :)

Its for occasional use. Not for use every day.

Tks.

As atm said, sorry that you have a personal vendetta with the compound, but benzos help many people, myself included. If you have nothing constructive to add to the OP's intended conversation, please refrain. Yes, any and all drugs can destroy a person. It's all in the user, however, as that's where the final decision ultimately lies.

OP: I think this is redundant - but 10mg is a good starter dose. ;) :p

Edit: Also - discussion on HOW to talk to doctors isn't allowed. Of course mentioning what has occurred / been scripted is allowed. Just a reminder. :)

I think it's pretty easy to get benzos here. My first visit with my dr I didn't even know what benzos were but he wrote me a script right off the bat. Then when I got use to one he switched me to a stronger one.

In Deed.

But you have to know the ppl on pharmacy :)
What benzo are you taken?

Regards.
