we all no phenergan potenties codeine an orther opiates. but would taking say 10mg valium with the phergan increase the high / sedation? to make for a realy good nod? or not such a good idiea!

Eh, a little hard to say. It's probably not as bad of a plan as mixing opioids and bezos or another serious CNS depressant mix but I also don't typically hear of promethazine being a big benzo potentiator. It may work better for some than others but I'm not sure if the risk is really worth the reward. I think you'd be better off trying another benzo potentiation method that didn't involve an actual drug combination if you can help it, both in terms of getting a boost and cutting down on the potential interactions. Of course, potentiation still comes with its own dangers if you're trying to get a bigger dose active in your bloodstream but on the whole it's likely a bit safer than most drug mixes that are going to do all that much.
Basically, there are worse things to mix but that doesn't necessarily make it the best idea.

people say its a big no no when it comes to taking benzos with opoids right? well im on a repeat script for diazepam 4 to 6 times a day for chronic anxity. well at the same time im just bein given 56 30 mg codein phoshate for gall stones my dr nos my medical notes so his he bein irisponsible to percribe both at the a same time? i have to take the codeine 1 or 2 x 4 times a day

Hiya, im on xanax along with other benzos, not excluding codeine and tapentadol, an extremely potent opiod based painKiller, some days i skip the palexia and take the codeine, when i take it with the xanax i do notice a more sedating effect, not by much but a difference alright, mixing it with phenergan i cant comment on as ive never done it, but id advise against it just to be on the safe side xxx
Taking opioids and benzos at once-- or combining any CNS depressants-- just because you feel like it and want to get blasted is very different than having a doctor prescribe them
It's good that you're keeping it in mind and ultimately you have to decide just how much you trust your doctor's decision, but I am prescribed daily opioids and Xanax, too. It's not that uncommon. Mixing CNS depressants recreationally is the big no-no. Being under a doctor's trained supervision is not at all the same situation. As long as your doctor is aware of your medical history then I'm sure he wouldn't prescribe anything that he thought would be harmful. His primary objective is to not make you worse off than you were when you went in to see him.
