Diazepam Dosage

So after reading around a bit I figure I should try around 10mg for a first time dose of Diazepam.

I have a pack of 50x 2mg and I tried 1x2mg a few hours ago and it didn't do much at all.

My question is, should I just take all 5x2mg at once or would there be any benefit in having one every 20 minutes or something?

Also, is a one off 10mg dose likely to leave me hungover tomorrow? (I'm assuming it wont since it seems to be a prescribed dose for some people)

2mg is a really small dose, even for a first timer. I didn't even know they made them that small... I think I took 30mg my first time (but absolutely don't quote me on that!)

Try 10mg and see how you feel, I highly doubt you will be hungover tomorrow. Benzos don't usually make me hungover unless I get really blackout high, and even then it's really just a bit of tiredness for a few hours.

10mg should be fine. don't drink or use any other drugs on them. don't drive either.

^^^^20-30mg for a first time would be way to much man the most valium i took was 30mg at one i had had a pretty heavy tolerance...

When i took valium for the first time i was prescribed 2mgs 1-3 times daily on my first time i had 6mg and i felt that. I wasn't wasted but i gave me a feel for the drug. a couple days later i had 12mg and i think that was a bit too much for me felt pretty messed up but had the worst headache ever and it stuck around the whole high.as for dropping your pills i would recommend dropping them all in 1 hit rather than spreading them out.... @amazed i was prescribed 2mgs when i was first prescribed valium then switched to 5mgs as tolerance builds pretty fast.The doctor said he was gonna taper me off them with 2mg when i was feeling better but the irresponsible prick just cut me off.He caught on i was abusing them and yer just cut me off WD's from benzos are AWFUL.....

Qouted citations refer to the roginal citations in the wikipedia article. So of course there are still dangers associated with its use especially when mixing with opiates and other drugs, but I think we are on the safe side, unless there were some unwanted synergic adverse effects.

I vote 12-14mg for a good dose, and yes, you can just jump up to that amount. 2mg diazepam is a deceivingly small dose; many people will not even percept any change from under maybe 5 - 10mg or so, and even at that level the effects are mild.
